Online casino live streaming boosting ads

Hi everyone,

I've recently tried running a Facebook Live stream to promote an online casino, but unfortunately, the results were disappointing. Despite having no issues with the number of viewers, livestream setup, or the host's performance which I personally found more engaging than many similar streams from competing casinos the campaign did not deliver the expected outcomes in terms of registrations and deposits.

I'm reaching out to ask if anyone here, especially those with experience in Facebook Live promotions in the Southeast Asia region, could share insights or advice on what might be going wrong, and what strategies have worked for you when promoting online casinos.
What country in SEA? maybe i can help

In Southeast Asia, target niche gambling groups, use capi for retargeting, and add clear cta mid stream

You need to review the content to cause the viewer's intention to lead them to specific actions.

you have high views but bad conversions I think you need to focus on content that has multiple ways to call people to action rather than just presenting a method and not causing people to take action so that the campaigns cannot be more effective

You should review your content and rewrite some new ideas to attract users. You may also need to create a new account to interact with the main account to drive user demand.

I think you need to check your content and campaign setup, try it with 2 or more accounts to see if it really works. We can't say it's not working with just one account and a small budget.
We already try with the different pages and BMs but it still the same.

How many people were watching?
It depend on the budget the bigger the budget for boost the bigger live viewer you have. $150/3 hours boosting you will get 300-400 live viewer and $300/3 hours you can get around 1000-1500 live viewer

Facebook Live casino promos in Southeast Asia face strict policies and trust issues; boost results by building authentic engagement, using clear CTAs off-platform, and combining influencer and retargeting strategies

dude, you find it interesting but not sure if the viewers feel the same way as you. i think your content doesn't have a clear motivation for viewers to subscribe or your page is not trustworthy

As my opinion, it maybe depend on the content of the ads, it will attract people to watch but not enough attractive to spend time or play. They watch and pass by it, and do not stay for long. That's why you have many view and reach but no conversation.

Facebook Live can be tricky with these niches, especially post-2024 updates. We’ve seen better engagement using warm-up strategies + optimized creatives. Sometimes it’s not the stream setup but how the backend is structured.

What’s your average live viewership? Do you get frequent interactions in the chat?

Maybe it could help to occasionally ask your viewers to comment a specific word, mention you’ll answer questions live, or share their experiences. This kind of interaction boosts engagement and helps with the algorithm

Targeting the right interests of interested people, the right age is quite important. In addition, you can use good accounts with thresholds for more stable online advertising.

Why didn’t the casino Facebook Live convert, even though the content was good?

  1. Shadow-restricted by Facebook: The live wasn’t taken down, but reach may have been limited due to gambling-related content.
→ Avoid sensitive keywords, use a bridge landing page to filter users.
  2. Viewers watched for fun only: Good engagement but no strong reason to register or deposit.
→ Run mini-games, offer real-time bonuses, show proof of real players and winnings.
  3. Wrong audience targeting: High reach, but not the right people with intent to play.
→ Warm up the audience with pre-live ads, retarget past engagers.
  4. Weak post-live funnel: Landing page unclear or too many steps, causing drop-off.
→ Simplify the registration and deposit flow, optimize speed and clarity. In short: Livestreaming is just one part. To drive conversions, you need to optimize the content, audience targeting, and post-live user experience.
