ongoing dispute alert on profile

I think there should be a alert on the sellers profile if they have a dispute going on.

on quite a few dispute threads I have seen that people reply with "I am glad I saw this dispute thread before I was about to buy from him" or "I wish I had seen this dispute thread before I bought from him" I'm kind of aware that threads get locked if there is a ongoing dispute but I am not sure if this is always the case because if it was then there wouldn't be those kind of comments that I mentioned above.

this also goes with the seller that sell their service on hire a freelancer section since if they have a dispute going on there is no thread to lock to protect the people they have comments on so many threads advertising if they are scammers they get few days window for the judgement if there is a alert on the profile it could save some people in that time

That's not a bad idea, although in cases where the seller isn't in the wrong, this could hurt their sales or reputation.

A dispute going live only means the seller and buyer couldn't work the issue out themselves. Who's in the wrong is still up for debate until the conclusion of the sales thread.

It's not something we can add in for the current iteration of the dispute section, but I do think it's something we can add in once it's re-worked.
