Use hashtags relevant to your picture but not too competitive ones.

If you get 2000+ likes you should be able to get on the "popular posts" for a hashtag with ~1,000,000 posts
Be sure to not pick too competitive hashtags, look at the current top posts and see their likes and then draw your conclusion if you are among those numbers.

I have a 45K account that gets 2-2.5K likes per post and adding a hashtag with 1,000,000 posts on it gets me on the top posts. That usually increases my likes by ~300-500.
Obviously the more popular the hashtags is the more it will boost your post.

He manages ONE account 45K big.

The question here is to find related tags to a picture/video and pick among them only those which have less than N posts. My bot can do this, but I am not sure if FL is capeable of something like this.

How many hashtags do you usually add?

I have my own hashtag (#accountname) for every post but then add something photo relevant on each post,

So let's say i own a motorcycle account my posts would look like this

motorcycle.jpg

#accountname #instamotorcycle (420,000 posts)

Looking at the current top posts you should need ~2000 likes to be on #instamotorcycle and that will get you decent exposure.

Also it now seems that you have to like posts from the hashtag to be able to be featured in it (probably a prevention against buying likes)
 
yes this definitely is a good tip! I do this on my 255k aswell works like a charm :thumb:
 
Does the "more hashtags - more likes" principle work here or is it better to stick to just one or two?

too bad that there aren't any automated tool for this like ritetag for twitter, which tells you exactly how many times a hashtag gets used in an hour, how many views and retweets it gets besides a bunch of other things, i can see a market gap here

because finding the hashtags which popular enough to get the needed amount of views, but not too popular to disappear in the deep abyss of other posts, i can imagine, that can be challenging :)
