Actually its not about overcoming google its about overcoming its monopoly. And providing at least decent quality. It could make up with other features esp. privacy-related. And customization (as in, you customize for yourself while they provide tools/options, instead of them "customizing" for you).Not so sold on that. Bing results are horrendous quite frankly.
Definitely.. they are in absolutely no position to do that. What they need is numbers and clout initially. Like cant they do a crowdfunding campaign? By doing that they gain some popularity too. Two birds in one stone.So they want you to pay a monthly subscription for a "search engine" that doesn't track you and returns Bing results... sounds like its destined to fail
