If I do all the steps required in proper on page SEO, can I beat the off page SEO done from my competitors ? Or are they completely unrelated ?
Something on the lines of future proof strategy ?The positioning depends on many factors and is a right mix of onpage and offpage seo. It all depends on the competition and the chosen market. Furthermore, it must be taken into account that the google algorithm is constantly evolving and what works today may not be valid tomorrow.
Yes, that is why it is so costly to rank as you need links or offpage seo to rank.If you need to beat competitors, Then on-page SEO is not enough, You need to do off-page SEO techniques.

Here's the thing.
Off-page is becoming less and less important, and on-page signals are becoming more and more important.
Does that mean on-page alone can beat off-page? No, at least not right now.
Think of backlinks as a tie breaker. If there are two pages with equal on-page SEO signals, the one with stronger backlinks will win. Even if one page is slightly weaker on-page signals, it can make up for it by burying the other page with backlinks.
HOWEVER
CTR will beat all. User engagement will beat out on-page and off-page every time. If one page is getting the majority of clicks compared to the competition, Google will rank it higher every time. That's one of the reasons why its so easy to get to spot 4 or 5 on most SERPs, but so hard to get #1 or #2, or why we see "weak" pages ranking #1 or #2. Those spots are highly influenced by user engagement signals.
They don’t compete, they complement each other. That said, having a perfect on-SEO will not beat your competitors if they have good links and you don’t.If I do all the steps required in proper on page SEO, can I beat the off page SEO done from my competitors ? Or are they completely unrelated ?
