hello i just joinde willing to make some friends and want to try and make some money and I dont know where to start.Trying to save some money for my son's college fees.Please show me a way. I appreciate your time.

hey old man. warm welcome to BHW. what skills do you have? do you have technical skills to run website? can you write good articles? seo? affiliate knowledge? coz, without skill its hard. so do some research first learn some skills there are plenty of guides and tutorials here on bhw

Thank you all very much for your time..BHW is very informative..right now i am researching domain flipping which looks very promising.Please tell me more about other money making buisnesses..I am so glad to be here :)

Domain flipping is probably not the best idea for a beginner as you really need to know what you are doing. What interests do you have? Always best to start with what you know and build from there

Really, you're looking at things that you need expert knowledge in, go simple to start. You could end up losing a lot of money. Obviously I can't tell you what to do, but my advice is to do what you know.

Stay away from anything like that. Short term stocks and forex are just gambling for the middle classes. You'll waste a lot of money very quickly. If he's selling his technique then it didn't make him big bucks obviously. Plus he'll get commission for all the money you spend.

Don't listen to that guy. There is no such thing as easy money. He's probably scamming you or just tricking you into buying his affiliate product. you should report him.

Domain flipping is not good for beginners as there is ton of variables involved. Domain age, wording etc.

I suggest reading to "make money" and "journey" threads as they give you a good idea as to how to make more money.
 
What skill do you currently have? As an old person you must have acquired some life skills. Do you write very well? Have you worked in Sales or Marketing before?

If you write well, I know people here who can pay you $10 for every 1000 words. If you write very well it will even be more than that. And if you have worked in Sales/Marketing before there are people who will pay you to market their products for them. You will still need to learn the fundamentals of IM, though.

So I suggest you start with something you're comfortable with while learning the ropes. Good luck

The advantage with being an 'old guy' is you have seen a bit of life, tend to be able to spot a scammer from 25 yards and not fall for people trying to PM you their get rich quick offers.

IGNORE PMs from people with these offers. Whoever offered to sell you his technique needs reporting if he tried to sell it on here.

Is there money to be made in blogging? Yes i can write well..I appreciate everyone for giving there time :)

There is money to be made in blogging. But I don't usually recommend it to IM beginners since it takes some time before you start earning steady money. I always advise newbies to start with providing a skill as a service. If you write well, check the Hire a Freelancer section regularly, there are always writing jobs. Same for any other skill you may have.

Hey @kevin williams, whatever you decide on, master the basics, and be willing to invest some money before you give up on something. I almost gave up when my first $500 was pure loss and the next $250 was also losing me. (was trying to learn paid traffic and SEO at the same exact time)

It wasn't until I learned how to build links and write my own content that I was able to judge if a seller was even remotely legit. Avoid the bright shiny objects people will try to sell you. Use the sidebar to dial in on what suits you

TLDR: Pick a method learn it inside and out. There are a 101 ways to make money online. Most things you'll try at first will be disappointing. The more you personally try the more you'll understand. Avoid the guru con artists. Best Luck Buddy. :D
