Could you please explain for which account and from which mail you received this message ?

It looks like some spam/scam!!

Seems legit to me... Spelling and grammar is consistant with almost any fb post these days......

Yeah just change your password and check activity from where it's detected.

How much do they charge to send that mail to some of my friends (with a better looking e-mail ID)?

lol...must have been a mass mailing going on, I had one yesterday as well, some dumb twats will fall for it I'm sure looking at some of the posts in this thread:rolleyes:

Hey,

This message is not for the OP, its for the newbies like me, Wanna make something out of this...

Always make sure you check the "from" and "to" of a email. You may have not even posted this thread.

Secondly, this mail is in the SPAM folder of your mail, ain't it?

Have you made any Purchase on 4 April 2019? If not this mail is not viable ? If you are concern, check the source code of the mail, might find a lot of info there?

And if this was a attack, Let me tell you, You were safer unless you actually opened the attachment. In such case, you should have searched https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT201679 or any relevant material

For the OP of the thread
I read the thread and started replying to it, the above was all written when i realized that you are a Elite Member of the community and would never do something without a reason. So, I guess this was the First of April, Practical Joke from you, but it pointed out on a very important discussion - SECURITY. Being calm in such situation is important. Thanks for sharing.

Not so much a practical joke, more sarcasm because of the bad spelling and grammar in the email I received.

You are correct in warning newbies though about these types of emails. Whilst more experienced people will spot these scams there are always going to be people who fall for them otherwise they wouldn't bother sending these emails out!

All thanks to BHW. With all the "methods" shared here, somehow it provided me with an education that I would never get from school.

To OP: There are two types of people. One who sees shapes in clouds. While the other, well, just see clouds. This is irrelevant. I just feel smart stating it.
Anyhow, it just amazes me that some people doesn't get that little "chuckle" in there.

Anyways, I think we have that same reaction getting this kind of email specially noticing the typo like "oh wow. i'm scared now with..the suspicius activity".

Again, thanks to BHW. When i see some low key scams like this, I get to tell myself that these scammers are trying to disrespect me with their lowly-skilled talent scam ways. If such word exist. peace out.

Oh shit... Did you order a wife?

It's "lowly-skilled" on purpose. That way, the only ones falling for it would be absolute dopes who would actually hand over their financial details to a made up personality.

Oh nice Appstore email address. I think it’s from the official Apple Nigerian office in Lagos.

Exactly! It's about the number. Some people are so dumb that they will fall for it on any given day.
