Hey,
atm Im using a extern filehoster for my porntube, but I would really like to host my videos myself.
Now, its very, very pricy to get an offshore dedicated server with TB's of space.
As you know, Hetzner or OVH has way cheaper Storage Server but is obviously not DMCA ignored and you cant pay via Bitcoin.
So, I had following Idea:
Get an Offshore anonym VPS with unlimited Traffic (35$)
Get an Onshore Server from OVh or Hetzner with a lot of TB (50$)
Then I would mount a webdavshare (password protected) from the Onshore Dedi on the VPS and make my Videos available like this.
Would this work? Is this a good solution? The Onshore Ip would not be public right? Cause the video is "going through" the vps?
Might be a server speed problem because the vps is using Double bandwith right? "Getting the video from the Dedi AND serving it to the user"
Ideas?
Like that I could get 16 TB + VPS for 90$, instead of 1 TB Offshore dedicated.....
