Offline method - make money capturing stray animals

I get that we are all blackhatters, but theres just something not quite right about this method. I don't think you should ask for a reward directly. Even if someone offered me a reward for this I would decline it. I guess it's because I know how much a person can bond with a dog and I know how desperate people get (I too lost my dog once). I don't want to take money from desperate people. I want to help them. I've often heard it said that in online business that is the mindset of the most successful people!

you're really lucky, I found a baby husky once had tags on him so I called the owner he came and picked it up and he didn't even say thanks.
 
I didn't quite like this method :(

Missing a pet that you like is pretty sad and expecting to get a reward only for getting them together again doesn't feel right. I think it's more than enough seeing that they are both reunited again.

While it's pretty possible that people are going to give you a reward because they think you deserve it it just doesn't seem good to ask for one.
To each their own, though.

i doubt you will make much and i doubt many will give you 500$ for a lost pet.
i guess 20$ income and 3 times bitten by dogs will be the outcome of this weekend.
 
This method wont make you a lot of money... You have a better chance walking around a local park and trying to kidnap dogs.
 
Maybe instead of looking for random dogs you could advertise as a missing pet finder, and let the customers come to you. This would guarantee that you actually get a reward instead of hoping that you do. You could also look for signs around town where people post lost dogs and an offering for a reward. I think it'd be dumb to just go out catching random dogs and hoping you get a reward. That'd be like us selling a product for someone without knowing if we were going to get paid.

True, but if someone has gone into the trouble of posting up papers that they have lost a pet they would also looked for the pet and I dont think that you would have any luck looking for it.

I think it has potential. I especially like the low start-up costs.

That's just ignorant. They can't find it, that's why there's a reward. It doesn't mean the dog disappeared. There actually are people you can hire to find your dog.
 
How about instead of actually finding the dog, you create a local service where you charge the pet owner a fee to call all the neighboors in a given radius the dog could be and inform them of a missing dog and ask them for any information. Also have them call you if they see it. You charge them for the service upfront and if you help to find the dog thats a free bonus.

This sounds like a better approach. You could even build an "affiliate" system where your brand offers commission to anyone who delivers a report that leads to the finding of their animal.
 
All this talk about kidnapping dogs with ID microchips. I thought that tracking could be enabled for a microchip. :hmmmm2:

Kidnapping pets and contacting the owner is an old trick that could go sour especially in a small community. Even in a large city or widespread area, it is possible for someone to detect your pet napping ploy and contact the owner with a description and or license plate number, and then you call the owner...

If you want to get some good leads on lost pets, just look on Craigslist for your neighborhood community Lost & Found. Quick check of my neighborhood shows dozens daily of lost cats and dogs with images and reward offers.
