I've been reading BHW for few months now and want to add my small contribution.

Basically what I'm doing is simple. There wasn't much of a directory for haunted houses or halloween parties in my area. So I took the wordpress review theme here and turned it into a haunted house review site. The feature slides are for premium advertisers (the haunted houses and ect.) And i have a listing directory.

My prices two-hundred for featured (for the month of Oct) and twenty for a listing.

I've gotten 15 haunted houses signed up and 25 more to go. Thats my short piece hope this helped someone.

Nice story..

Whenever halloween comes along I always have wanted to monetize it somehow but never have yet.

Question though.. Are these haunted houses contacting you or are you contacting them for the adverting on your review site?

I contact them. Most of them dont have a website so each person that advertises with me I make them a page on my blog. I also have the local paper giving me free ad spots and our local news is going to use me next week for there Halloween show.

Good idea. You could also do other cities since you are contacting them by phone. The same thing could be done for Christmas/New Years activities or for Valentines Day.

I am looking st halloween aff programs right now any suggestions. It is easy to rank on the name of the costume keyword...

hmm... now this gives me an idea. im starting to have alot of those lately, anyways, think of this. people remember fear the more. whether you shat on yourself when you almost got hit by a car or when one of your friends scared you on accident.. you remember that very well.. so, how about asking the haunted houses if you can place a small sign on one of the well seen walls.. you can do something creative like bloody letters and all, and gain traffic to your site as well.

i was thinking on a different level because my site doesn't have an actual name soo. i have something to work with because people will google it. but a cpa offer is a good idea
