Offline Advertising with PIZZA DELIVERY!!!

I just made up a stack of 100 color fliers w/ pull tabs for a product. Posted a few this morning, paying a neighborhood kid to go put em up in office building around the lunchrooms and whatnot.

I'll let you guys know if it pans out.

Hell yeah dude, that's a good idea...

there's these iranian neighbors of mine, and they have like 8 kids... I could pay them like $30 to split if they spend all day putting up flyers :D
 
I love this idea, I was thinking about just going door-2-door with postcards. Now the sticker idea has given me a whole new idea!!!

How about paying the corner shops to insert leaflets into the magazines :P

Hey,

This is a clever idea that I have actually done before.

These people that buy pizzas have money.

Contact a local gym - not a big chain, but a smaller one. The smaller ones are desperate for new customers.

Ask them if you could get a commission for any referrals you bring in. Also say that you need an 'offer' to entice your potential referrals i.e. first month is half price.

Create a website with a form and take the persons details, then pass them onto the gym. After double check everything and collect your commission.

I passed this onto a friend and he has developed it by attaching a 'city name services' flyer with contacts for gyms, cleaners, plumbers etc..

Then do this flyer trick.

He passes the web design clients onto me and I outsource the work :)

ehhh...I own a sandwich shop and get about 500 or more customers a day. I must say I would not let you put diet adds on my product lol!

Good idea, some family members wanna learn some stuff so I might lead them in the offline direction.

maybe the customers will be insulted by this. instead of having flyers with the food, why not just post it on the shop window or something. or close to it. heck you could just have sandwich board sign or a picket fence sign outside your shop.

Not true. Most people who order fast food are usually lazy, and thus quite obese, or atleast not happy with there body.

i'm sure 1 in 5 (20%) would be interested in some diet pills (which never work!) or something similar.

&& str8thustler, why not create a diet and advertise it? like "Replace one of your meals with a sandwhich from our place, and watch the pounds come off, fast!" or something. Something that makes customers buy more of your product, with no intervention from yourself!
 
Great idea Boosey. There are so many people offline to target but rarely does anyone in IM think to market outside of the internet. I have had a similar idea of placing an ad for my company/site as the header of a local newspaper. I know newspapers sometimes do this and give the paper out to non members to try to get them to subscribe.

Glad to hear you're having success with this, hope it really takes off for you.

in my country. Phone bill and internet monthly bill delivery, they have a space for ads on the envelopment. it's pretty cheap, and it's related to internet user, so it's targeted.

The price is like 1000$ for 1-2 weeks dependently. pls advice
 
The diet idea is not good. The pizza companies will not give out a diet flyer. That will create less sales for them Thats retarded. But I could see promoting a business like...this igotminefree.com
