Hi everyone,
I've started a website selling watches using wordpress and woocommerce few months ago. I've been doing the same thing for past 3 years using only FB page focusing on getting social proof (reviews) which makes me more or less trusted brand now. I am doing good with FB/Insta ads. These watches costs 20-30$ and I am reselling them ~x2-x2.2 their price. The profit margins are good. I am getting around 40% profit after I pay Ads & my GF for packing and sending these packages out (yeah she is working with me) Anyway;
I want to rank my site for main kws "men watches" & "women watches" which I believe has fairly low competition meaning the top 3 are taken by the sites with DA ~20-25 with not that good content. There are, of course, plenty other KWs worth ranking for.
Thing to note:
- There is NO competition (as far as I know) selling the watches I am selling which leaves me with a big opportunity.
- There are mostly people selling high valued watches (Casio, Omega, Festina...) or selling replicas. These are the people taking all the SERPs but not working on their SEO.
- I can confirm that Google algo isn't updated here in Croatia as in US which is another opportunity
Problems I am facing and need the help with are:
a) Linkbuilding: I am re-selling watches from Aliexpress which means no serious watch website will link to me and the links is what I need to outrank the competition (I wouldn't link either).
Guest posts? How am I supposed to write an article on any serious website saying I am selling watches worth max 70$. If I'd write about any other watch related subject, that'd mean link wouldn't go on my category or product pages.
b) Creating content: My plan is to write the product reviews on each Aliexpress product I sell+ there are some reviews from Amazon I can use to craft the content. That's not enough - it could be used to engage the audience but not sure about its effect on SERP as I've just started doing that + it's a thin content - there is not much you can write about 30$ watch and if I want to sell it writing about it then I can't write all kind of shits just to make my word count goes up. I also re wrote one article today from well known watch site but again, I don't think my audience will read that as I am in microbrand niche which means I shouldn't write about Rolex or Festina watches.
Things I consider doing after adding at least 20-30k words of content:
1) Non-English Diversity package from BHW first + some Quality PBNs few weeks after?
What do you think will that do the job since I am trying to rank on Google.hr?
2) I do have an access to 2 aged local news portal with lots of content - I am going to re-purpose old posts there adding my anchor. Still not enough since I need multiple links for each category + homepage to make it look natural.
3) PBN, spun content? Or no?
I've been planning to ask a community for an advice for few weeks now thinking I'll come up with something in the meanwhile as I've been Googling a lot trying to find good matching sites for guestpost but it's bothering me and wrong step might dry out my budget just like that.
What would you do if you were me?
