NYC Web & Graphic Design Freelancing

Hi guys,

I am planning to move to NYC this year and currently have a small company oversees that does web design/graphic design and online marketing (SEO, social, PPC etc). What is the current market situation in the NYC area? Do you think that I could make a decent income freelancing? Amy general comments greatly appreciated (I know that how good you are is a major factor but just wanted to hear how others in my shoes are doing over there)
