I bought a 2 word domain name for this method. How do I go about putting Amazon laptops on it? Will Amazon accept my affiliate application if I haven't got any content on the website? Do I just need to install wordpress on the site and put some laptop related articles for it to be accepted?

I understand your jaded point, however, amazon is so popular I doubt people are unaware enough to go directly too the source if they wanted it.

Exactly what I was thinking. Bottom line is though, we take this for granted, but in reality many people wouldn't think twice about clicking through some random links to get to the actual site. Most people have never even heard of affiliate marketing. Whenever I have ever mentioned it to people in real life they have absolutely no clue and ask me how it works etc. I'd say 99% of people on earth have never heard of it. People are a lot more clueless than you think.

I'm sure places like CL have catched on to those workaround methods the OP listed so I doubt they would work.

Furthermore, Amazon's commission structure sucks and I've heard it takes them forever to pay you.

I tried this method based off this thread and every possible variation I could think of, and in large scale. I never got it to work.
Examples: images that were banner ads, natural looking craigslist posts, phone numbers, advertised emails, posted URLs. Acted like I was a company. Acted like I was a private seller. Set up autoresponders saying I had already sold the item but the place I got it was still having a sale, then sent them to my URL. Sent them to my site. Sent them to a squeeze page just trying to get their email address. I tried dozens of markets across the USA and over a half dozen product lines. I made a totally legit website with dozens of reviews. None of it worked. I hope you guys have better luck, but I just wanted you to know it's not guaranteed money. People going to Craigslist are looking for a deal on a used item from a private seller. Scaling this to make REAL money is a pain even with a VA. Good Luck though.

I agree man, I have also tried this method on my own and it was total crap. I think back in the day this was a killer method but now consumers are wise to not click any links and Craig's is like kicking a dead horse.

Check the 'for sale' section one more time.
Do the listings look professional? Probably not.

Would someone like Best Buy go on Craigslist to sell an old laptop? It seems to me that is what you are trying to do -- collect emails through a squeeze page rather than just exporting all emails for later use. People do not want to subscribe to an email list just to see an old laptop. You made it too easy to spot a red flag.

Literally act like you're a person with a laptop to sell, and tell them to visit a website where you provide them with more pictures. Create a computer repair domain and have a simple blog installed with pictures in a 'for sale' category. Point them to those pictures and on the side, have an Amazon ad or the similar.
This works because I have done this legit, and have seen many many many other PC repair shops sell used equipment like this. And hell, if they had an eBay ad on the side, I bet you $1,000 I would have clicked it. Do you know what? I was looking for a server on Craigslist for the longest time. This guy provided pictures with his website. Later, I just went to eBay and bought 3 of them.
The same thing with a Gigabit switch. I looked on Craigslist... ended up buying 3 of them from Amazon.
People want to see old equipment, but they want to buy new equipment. No one wants to be a $1,000 camera when they can go to Amazon and get a cheaper deal. I went to eBay to drool over a motherboard and CPU combo, but I'd never buy an used combo! I'd go to Newegg and buy it new.

Hell man, make the price CRAZY high and have an ad on the side with a $100 cheaper one from Amazon. You compare the prices and then people think they are getting a deal, and then basically, you influenced their decision to buy an iPad without even telling them anything. It's like having sex with a female where she feels like she wasn't forced or doesn't feel like a slvt, just because you lead her into it without forcing her or selling yourself. She says "It just happened!"
She can either date you or someone else... compare the prices! You value yourself more whereas the guy she is texting seems needy. She chooses you!

Really, another comparative would be dating profiles. You're basically using a model as a picture on a profile you're using to try to attract males. They can smell a fake profile a mile away. Take some accounts FAR away, save pictures, and put them on your own account so it doesn't look fake. In your method, do that but with products. Find a laptop on sale on the opposite side of the country. Take the pictures, use them for your own post, and then work that way.


The only obstacle I see is the limit of posts (2 per category in 48 hours).

Remember guys, quality is better than quantity. I had my friend post some, but he went overboard, and got everything flagged.
