Yea, after I rechecked it was the same for me, but I didn't get the message from amazon though.

Hi, thanks OP for the great idea! straightforward and doable for the most of us.

I'm just starting at BHW, but a graduate of other IM forums. I got fed up with the other sites, mainly because of their lack of ambition.

Question about the am-zon TOS, what exactly do they have problem wise with, regarding putting links up on a website?

also in creating an aStore, it asks for info about the website you'll be putting the links onto. So did you register a domain and create a site first, then create an aStore?

As you mentioned in another post, this is BHW so bending the rules is part of the process, but i dont want to get an account banned. So what's a good way of walking the line so to speak (exploiting tos to promote the links but also not getting booted from affiliates)?

A very noob type question next, if they ban your am-zon affiliates account, does that somehow effect, your regular account for making purchases?

finally i'd like to say, your post is an awesome introduction to the wonders of BHW, i'm very impressed with its simplicity and straightforward effective style.

p.s. also forgive me, if i've made any kind of mistakes in etiquette etc, just starting, i'm sure i will get the hang of it soon :)

is this okay with amazon if i put the link of my astore in that product pic of the product i am promoting. I mean amazon doesnt allow direct linking, But does directlinking to my astore also constitutes direct linking??

thanks

Thanks for the share OP. I've read the whole thread and there are a couple of things that still aren't clear to me.

If I post on "big classifieds" about ... let's say a laptop, and then when they reply, I get their emails, and then I send a reply to all emails telling them to go to my site, would that work? Do I still have to break the link?

Why is breaking the link necessary in method 2? Is it to avoid getting flagged in "big classifieds" or is it because of Am-zn TOS?

What's wrong with this picture?
Step 1: Post in "big classifieds"
Step 2: Wait for their email to arrive at my inbox
Step 3: Send them an email that has a link (unbroken) to my website so they could just click and go to my blog which is not a review site nor an e-commerce site and no Am-zn disclaimer of any kind.
Step 4: Website shows them that I'm s3lling my computer with a review, specs ,etc. and a link to the Am-zn site.
Step 5: They go to Am-zn with my cookie.

So many useless questions. Guys just do exactly what it's written. Can't be more simpler then that.

What do you think it's going to happen? US president calling your country's president and having the talk?
"There is 1 guy from your country and he is putting links to his affiliate website. He is a threat to the global peace. Hand him over"

@Iconoclast - I doubt that they have that high skilled mediums who can find that out :P

Sorry. That's what I was trying to do. Just trying to understand it completely so I could fashion the method in my own style. A lot of people who did "exactly what was written" were getting nothing from it, as the later pages have shown.

My concern is not about the "law" per se. It's about getting banned and how to avoid it.

LOL.

LOL.

Chances to get your affiliate account banned should be extremely low or at least logically thinking about it. But then again reporting you can take just few minutes, so I guess on this part someone with more experience should explain how things are done(how are bans issued)
As for the ads I doubt they can stick for more then few days(which should be enough)but even if they stick only for few hours just make sure to post them at times that have the most viewers.

I think the most solid method is to watermark the picture, because people will be typing the address themself and there is no way to track that back, of course if you are paranoid about the pictures being reported you can easily keep the ad for few hours then delete and create a new ad. Maybe create 4-5 affiliate sites and rotate them. Of course this will take quite a bit of time and work, but I think that it would be worth it if you can bring same or better sales as OP showed :)

Black.Cat, this method is not allowed according to Amazon TOS. You are putting up a fake ad. If you press a link Amazon will know you did that. Links from emails might happen at times but not for everything you sell... But, when people type in your site, it is direct traffic, anonymous traffic.
Amazon will terminate your account, withhold all funds. "Big Classified" could sue you in Civil Court like they have others. Don't ask me for %% count on it but they can and have.
Before you implement a method, do research. Research is reading a lot, not asking a lot.
I suggest you start with Amazon TOS. While you are there you might look at the %% you get for each product, it shows you what to sell.
This method works but it won't buy you a car in a month manually. Some make a shitload because they automate and improve. You will not find bots here to help with "Big Classified" automation.
Also, I think that if you understood Amazon TOS and tried it like some meathead method it might be more lucrative than having your ads ghosted.

Have fun. I'm out, doing research.

How many classifieds do you post in for this to work btw?

James:)

If you're posting ads implying that you're selling an item but you don't actually have that item on hand to sell, you're engaging in fraud.

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but this applies to dropshippers too, right?

Well, I ditched the phone method (opted for putting my link on pics & hyper-links in the ad) and changed to a different niche. Getting great traffic. ONLY PROBLEM?!?! Amazon has not updated in a few days. FRUSTRATING! They have a message when I log in stating the problem. Really? A company this big can't get their sh*t together. Meh....sorry..... just ranting over here.

Does anybody know a work around for amazon associates for someone who is living in illinois?

Because of the tax law amazon doesnt associate with illinois and other couple states.
