Hello,

I just created a new site with something like 15x500 words articles, it's an Amazon Affiliate site and im currently targeting 6 keywords on 6 different articles. Let say the site is about "widgets" and aim targeting: "Blue Widgets", "White Widgets", "Red Widgets" etc. Most of the keywords are low competition or medium-low competition.

The site is 4 weeks old, and currently im ranking 5, and 6 for one keyword on bing and yahoo and 99 for some other one. Thats all! Im not ranking on google at all (which for sure is my target).

Is the site too new to be ranking even over the 100+ range? Im using ProRankTracker for rank monitoring.

Is there a possibility that the keyword density might be the culprit for this problem? Because for example i have a density of 2% for the keyword "blue widgets", but widgets alone has a density of 6%

PS: Regarding the On Page SEO, i get very good results on Inpage SEO Analysis tools online. And for Off Page i didnt build any backlinks, just a Press Release.

And my page is already indexed on google.

If it were so easy to rank, everyone would be out on their yachts instead of in this forum. Especially seeing as you have basically no backlinks, I'm not sure how you expected to rank. Are you sure the keywords themselves were low competition, or is it that the advertiser competition in AdWords was low? Are you even indexed? Go to google and type in site:yoursiteurl, where you'd obviously put in your site's url. If nothing comes up, you're not even in google's index.

I'd bet some serious cash the answer is two fold.
I am not expecting the site to rank in 1 month, i just want to make sure that the keyword density is not giving me problems. Regarding the back-linking i plan starting slow after 2-3 Months.Thanx for the answer!

The idea is that im not pretending to rank on the top10 in 1 Month, i just want to make sure that my keyword density is not penalizing me. Regarding the competition i used different tools, like keywordrevealer and marketsamurai. Most of the top10 sites have 0 backlinks on the page. And yes i am indexed.

Don't you use Yoast's WP SEO Plugin? I think 6% is just too much. I've heard that keyword density is getting more and more irrelevant but it's still good to stay on the 1.1% to 2% range.

Are you trying to rank for "blue widgets" or for "widgets"? 2% "blue widgets" should be fine. Nonetheless, the fact that you're not in the top 100 isn't really due to keyword density. Think of it this way. Google crawls a page. It's in their index. But their index is vast, so why should they care about that page? I bet those top 10 pages are tied to well-respected authority sites, so Google already has a reason to care about that page. Yours needs something to prove its worth. Just existing isn't enough, which is why you need backlinks even if those other sites might not.

I am targeting "blue widgets", so it should be fine even because "widgets" is 6%? Thanx for the answer i really makes sense.
