Hey fam,

hope you guys are doing well and coping well with life.

i have a question regarding google indexing,

any idea why after Inspecting my url according to google search console it is already on google.

but when i try the Site:www.yourwebsite.com. Only 3 pages of my page is on google.

it is a brand new website(1 month old) with 10 articles.

i look forward for your input. Thank you for helping in advance! :)

Check the landing page's content. If the content is duplicate then your website will not be indexed. And also make sure landing pages are SEO friendly.

I have the same "error", the pages are showing indexed but not showing up in the top 100. It's probably a glitch or delay from google, i usually just request indexing again and move on

This is exact situation with my blog also. Have tried to speak in google community regarding same but there is no proper answer. See the discussion https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/51704293?hl=en

technically its not error tho. theres no error on my search console. just that SITE: and gsc doesnt tally.

I'm having the same problem on one of my sites. Google has two indexes: the main index and supplemental index. If your pages are indexed but you can't find them when you use the command, site:domain .com, it means that they are in the supplemental index. Usually, this happens if you have duplicate contents or a very low quality site, but in this situation that's not the case. I believe it's a glitch in Google system, and I hope they fix it soon.

The main problem is that Google algorithm only picks pages in the main index for ranking, thereby totally ignoring the ones in the supplemental index. This simply means that pages that do not appear under site:domain .com cannot rank on Google.

Very low quality website? In terms of backlinks?

This has been happening for a while now since the May update. Sometimes if you just type the naked URL it will appear in the search but I've had pages that don't display in the SERPs for many weeks.

Surprising, it only happen to my new website. My other website is working fine as per usual even after may update

You must try pro quality content to provide to your page. Its for helping to promoting for indexing.

I'm currently dealing with the same issue. Google/Bing won't index anything but the homepage. I've tried just about everything, minus scrapping the entire design and starting over. Like someone else already mentioned, the Google Community isn't exactly helpful in regards to solving the issue. I posted there as well and was just told that Google isn't crawling in a hurry.

Interestingly enough, some of the articles missing from Google/Bing are indexed in DuckDuckGo and Yandex, of all places.

Guys, resubmit your pages on GSC for re-indexing. I did the same and my pages are back to the main index.
