Most competitors (in the US top 10 SERPs) for the above keywords are ahrefs DR 80+, and have good link profiles.

Had a brief look at the microbiomeplus link profile. Quick summary: Many contest, promo, coupon, discount sites. Over half are no-follow. Lack of good quality, relevant, contextual links.

To rank for the above keywords, you'll need to increase the site's relevance, authority and trust. Start by ranking for lower competition keywords with better content + links.

I tried probiotics for 3 months before client cuts all work.

Was super difficult, and after some content it never ranked, before client didn't want to invest more, so no backlinks, no ranking. (also no time to mature).

Those are high competitive keywords, you need to invest in some strong backlinks to rank for those keywords and it will take time. You took up a difficult task on yourself.

That is better keep on working. Your SERP competitors also working on that. So you need to complete more in hopes to get better rating.
