Yeah BHW has gone to shit I posted a thread asking for some proxys and this one jack ass thinks he's gonna be a moderator with 126 posts and telling me to Google search. It's like bro, this is a forum. If you are not going to help people do not log on.

I just looked at that thread and to be fair, not only was that guy not a long term member, but someone else also called him out for being an idiot.

All kidding aside, if you feel that someone has done an injustice to you via PM, you are
welcome to hit the REPORT button. Creating threads like this only sets you up for ridicule.

For the most part, BHW is a VERY friendly forum, but it is also a microcosm of the world,
where you will find both the good and the bad, the friendly and the not-so-friendly.

Try to take things a bit more lightly and you will find that you have less problems - both
here and in life itself. Practice being more pro-active and less re-active.

so you can't locate the proxy section of the forum? thousands of public proxies get posted daily in various threads there either by members who has a premium service or by members who just want to share their lists, if you need something for gscraper - i'm not into seo - but i guess you'd need google passed proxies, those get posted too

but it's not a bad idea to use google either and it wasn't a bad advice

the problem is that you shouldn't have started that thread in the first place w/o being thorough and browsing the forum or searching on google

this forum would be a whole lotta better place if there weren't these threads (doesn't even matter who start these threads, newbies, old members or even jr vips, you can easily find examples for that too), because it results in a lot of useless threads which just clogs up bhw, ergo it's a lot harder to find what you're looking for and it just gets worse and worse

on the other hand i remember HaRRo said it once, this forum was made for advanced marketers primarly, which doesn't mean newbies should be treated badly, but if you ask a not so legit question, you can expect those kind of answers

Aside from the whole generalization thing which makes little to no sense to me, I'm wondering why you brought up an issue with a particular person in the forum as opposed to just talking it out with him.

You have an issue with him bring it up with him, it is nobody's business otherwise.

I know that person, know his name, his address, his families names as well... he's not a bad guy at all and perhaps if you talk things out with him you will get a different feel for what he was trying to convey.

I just don't see that convo something that is for public consumption.

During the entire time I've been on this forum, I've only ever seen 2 rude people.

1. The first one was a pedant who was correcting an Indian member's spelling and grammar even though the member mentioned that he did not speak English well. I actually saw the community jump in and defend the Indian member. This is a diverse forum, so pedantry isn't tolerated.
2. The second one was a member who telling me his little sister was more literate that I am. I'm not sure what prompted this, but I do remember that he used "brah" and "bro" quite often.

Other than that, the Black Hat World community is much more pleasant than the rest of the Internet. That little private message you received is nothing compared to some of the threats I've received over Facebook for just stating my opinion about a photo-edited watermelon.

Many of the members here, including myself, enjoy helping other Internet marketers because it gives us a chance to test our knowledge on Internet marketing and learn new things simultaneously. Don't let one slightly-insolent member paint a bad image of the whole community.

M8, I can tell you that stuff of the forum is very benevolent (just googled this term) and that is what matters most. You have many frustrated brats here that lurk the forum for easy money doing nothing...

If this is how senior members and jrvips treat people then this really isn't a very friendly forum at all.

I hadn't logged on in a few weeks until today and I found this from macdonjo3 in my inbox



Never spoken to this guy in my life, yet he feels the need to message me with a very rude pm title of "another failure", then follows up telling me I'm someone slaving at a day job.

I deal with business people every day, and I've never met anyone with so much time on their hands that they're pm'ing strangers on a forum to pick fights over their supposed success/income.

I could be a millionaire or I could be someone struggling at a day job. Why would jrvips on a forum like this think it's appropriate to attack someone who's not made it on their own yet anyway?

This kind of mindless attack on people who haven't had success yet sickens me. We should be supporting newbies, not attacking them.

The only thing I can think of is that macdonjo is nothing more than a poser who's unhappy with his own failures, so looks for others to troll. His close to 4000 posts since nov 2009 would seem to back this assumption up. There's just far too much to do when running a business to have time to make 4000 posts on one forum alone.

I thought I'd share this with everyone to see what the response is like. How people respond will tell me if the forum as a whole is like macdonjo, or if this is actually a serious place.

Besides I see way too many journey threads of unambitious people who are not giving it a full shot.

To be honest, this is a big forum... there will always be unfriendly people with such a huge platform.

But, I can tell you from experience that there are some people on this forum that I consider nothing less than awesome! Without the knowledge spread in this forum, I'd probably be nowhere near where I'm now. I've asked random questions to many people here whom I never talked before, and so far I always got help. For me, there simply is no better place for a marketer than BHW!

So, don't let yourself taken down by it and just enjoy the great infos spread here!

I remember when I used to play Call of Duty 4 back in 2007. There were plenty of people on there that would send you abusive messages and launch a tirade of abuse via their mic.

Did I:
a)stop playing the game because out of the millions of players there were a few nutjobs
b)report everyone for even the slightest jibe
c)give as good as I get, laugh it off and get on with it

I know it's a strange comparison but I think it works. The point is that in any community you are going to get a few not-so-nice characters, there's nothing you can do about that. What you can do is decide whether the few jibes you get are outweighed by the massive amount of free information that's available to you here.
