Norton really sucks, Avast paid version is much much better. Really happy with avast.

Go for Avast + Malwarebytes (Buy PRO--I bought it and is quite good).

Not really. AVG is the best free anti-virus.

I am not sure if you are still trying to buy yourself some time, but i have comcast (not sure if you have it, or even have it in your area), but if you go to their site and in the search bar you can type in "norton" and it will let you download Norton Security Suite for free. If this is not any help, sorry..
