Nootropics -- What do you guys think?

caffeine + l-theanine, works great for me.

I've tried CILTEP, and it's made a pretty big difference IMO. I only use it on work days when I need increased focus and motivation to get things done.

I did a review not long ago:

It's a natural supp as well, the key ingredients are Artichoke Extract and Forskolin.

@devbrah, I actually have you on my subscription list for a while on youtube :) Didn't know you are on BHW. Keep up the great job.

I have been using Modafinil for over a year now. Shipped 120 caps from India...200mg each. And have 4 more left as I didn't use it heavily.

It worked out for me pretty well. Made me sharp, alerted, focused on whatever I did. I cut it into half and use 100mg. Usually 2-3 caps per week. I also cycled it...after using 3-4 months, I took a month off.

It helped me a lot...no doubt. Though, I don't think I will need it anymore, as I used it for forming certain habits by staying alert, focused and on-schedule.

I would suggest it to someone who is totally lost and need to get back in the game. Not recommended for people like you Brandon who constantly improves his current situation :)

I done pretty much the same thing as you, ordered 200mg Modafinil from India, cut tablets into half etc. have only been using it for a couple months though and generally only use it when I have a heavy workload for that day.

I agree it's great for forming habits or just when you need an extra boost for the day. I'm not familiar with OP's situation but I would recommend Modafinil for those who want to take nootropics.

Recently I also realised that some times 100mg will work extremely well, but other times it won't seem to make a difference at all. Have you experienced this crusher?

I just ordered a Nootropic stack, will report back when I've had some. Got Aniracetam in it.

Caffeine raises your IQ by a few points and helps you focus. But if you do it too much, you won't notice the effect. Trying a new supplement can help, but the same thing will happen over time.

Hi OP, i recently got the phenibut i ordered. Took 1 pill of 250mg every monday morning on an empty stomach, with a cup of coffee aterwards. Definitely boost my mood and concentration. But, here's the 'but' part, on the rest of the week, i got headache. Quite bad headache. So, i guess, when i finished the bottle (60 caps), i wont continue buying it. M sure the effect varies with other people, but just want to share my experience here. I guess, its l-theanine with coffee next! :)

Most popular would be modafinil (provigil or the modalert generic brand) that comes in 200mg. It improves alertness but if you attempt to do an all-nighter expect to be half-retarded the next day.

I've taken modalert for 2+ years. At first it was great, then had bad side effects but they went away after 3 months.

At the moment it gives me alertness thats real (unlike coffee which is like faux alertness), works an appetite suppressant (great for weight loss), amps up my libido (I wake up with a boner every morning, gf thinks I dream about other chicks). No more unwanted side effects.

Doctors don't regularly prescribe it because it is kind of unstable, even though the pharmaceutical companies disagree. Everyone seems to have different effects on it. Actually when I started I needed 400mg to get a real kick, but now all I need is only 100mg, which is very odd right? Anyway I'd recommend it.

i got headache. Quite bad headache. :)

This is the problem with all nootropics. It took me many months of use before the headaches went away, and now if I STOP taking it for more than 1 week then I get headaches like my body has withdrawal symptoms.

Yup. Sometimes, 100mg appears to be not working at all. And 200mg has very strong effect. I can work continuously for 24 hours o 200mg.

I guess it happens if one didn't have a good night sleep or didn't take much water with modafinil. As soon as I noticed it, I now take Mod with 2 glasses of water and it works fine.

Nootropics are not addictive....which one did you use? Again, take at least 2 glasses of water for getting rid of the headache.
