Noob wanting to start a business

hey everyone. This is my first thread here. Im in need of some advice. I am 16 and have 500 dollars to start a business with. I want to buy wholesale and sell products on ebay and at my school such as dre beats, nixon player watches, and ray bans. i have found that kids at my school make a killing buying products like these from china and selling them at school. Can someone give me advice on how to do this? or if their are any other options that will make me around 200 a week or more can you please share? i really want to start some sort of business. not working minimum wage at mcdonalds for 8$ per hour. Use the search function.

If you only have $500 make sure you do your research. It's good you're starting a business at 16 though. Really smart. Just make sure you take 1-2 months to make sure your investment is going to good use. Check out the downloads section and search for "ebay" Hopefully that helps..

if u cant find the supplier, buy them off the other kid in ur school for a discount, and sell them at another school for a profit.

too many scammers online ot start with only $500 and expect to make it work first time , if it was that easy lol we wouldnt need this forum.

np, the reason we say $500 is not a crazy amount is b/c there are so many mistakes that can be made. This is why research will allow you to make the $500 go further...

-At 16 you could sell legal highs and make very good money. Then target online. Or better yet, make a simple website or take emails, take orders and deliver to anyone in a certain radius. Like 10 miles or so. And after 10 miles charge them. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

-If you dont like that, go to a flea market or second hand place and pick all the designer clothes out. Resell them on ebay. Only by stuff in good condition.

Tell your school you want to run a contest every week in your school paper for something. Example: Free Ipad. Set up a simple website with a Free Ipad Email submit and tell them the way students enter the contest is through the site.

Then pick out an email and use some of your earned money off Email submit to actually buy an Ipad and give it to this person.

You will still make money if you have 1000 kids in you school.

If not, do offers where you can buy the product and still make $$$$

I had 500 to invest too dude, I used it for buy a concert ticket, buy some shoes, pants, shirts, I went to Mexico, I get drunk.. I forgot about BHW... LOL

Dont do that, read the forum and do not buy services, buy software.

ok thanks everyone. but does anyone have a specific product that they are selling or have sold that has proven profit. also the legal high thing sounds cool but im almost positive that i would have to have some sort of liscense to sell it

DHgate electronics would probably sell pretty well at school, not to mention all the other items they offer... You could also start your own website to sell a lot of the products online. Just be careful with any brand name items on DHG.
