Non US resident wants to start shopify

Hello BHW,

I am new to Shopify, I have set up my store already, I have no specific niche at the moment so its a general store. I have a few questions about legality.

I'm from the Philippines and I wanted to sell products to the US by buying IG shout outs. How is the tax done? Will Shopify auto deduct to my earnings for the tax?

Also, what is the rate of success on IG from your experience?

cause perhaps the demand of the product he is trying to promote is good in the US? or maybe he has got list of US based influencers? or other legit reasons...

and he wants to know how is tax done in US or perhaps how it works on shopify,

there is nothing dumb about it, it's just you who is dumb as shit, you just dont reply like that..

Never mind I'll ask directly on Shopify. Perhaps I can get a "professional" answer from there.

You can setup tax for each country within Shopify. Each country can have different tax rules.
Shopify has default tax rates which you can load.

You can choose to include it within your price of the product, or add it on additionally.
This setting is found in Admin -> Settings -> Taxes

Shopify will add tax to each of your transactions according to the tax settings you've specified in your account. So, it is essentially collecting sales tax on your behalf. The Shopify groups on Facebook can be great for these types of questions. Chances are there are plenty of people who have gone through your exact situation before and can advise.
