Hi guys

I'm looking for non custom domains that actually rank on Google. Such as Medium.

Most domains that end with WordPress.com, tumblr, blogger etc don't really show up even with backlinks.

I'm just trying something and need a list of domains that would rank just like custom ones do.

Subdomains on established platforms like Medium, Hashnode, and LinkedIn Articles can rank well if the content is exceptional, but they'll always be capped by the platform's overall authority and lack of full control; they're good for testing, not long-term assets.

Medium is a parasite and even it is not a good choice anymore.

I often use Medium, Substack, LinkedIn Articles and Quora Spaces, big platforms still have a chance to get to the top if the content is good and interacted. However, the effectiveness depends on the niche, so you should test a few platforms and then transfer good content to your own domain if you want sustainable SEO.

That's the thing that no body could tell because if they do, those sites would be abused to death and they won't rank no longer on Google.

But you should try with every domain you can find and make parasite site for your offer. Even high authority sites like outlookindia, BSC.news could work but they don't work now i guess.

These are called parasites. You can find a lot of information about them in the forum. There are literally thousands of threads. The parasites vary from niche to niche. You should manually search for a keyword to find the current parasites ranking for it. The common parasites include sites that allow publishing content and discussion on the content like medium, LinkedIn pulse, reddit, Quora, etc. Apart from them, social media content like instagram reels are ranking very well.

Yo, man, you're right, the old Blogger/Tumblr subdomains are pretty much dead weight; they barely index, tbh. They fail cuz the platform's authority juice is spread way too thin across pure garbage content.

The trick is to use platforms with massive, focused authority that still pass power. The best ranking non-custom domains are usually professional or document-sharing sites: LinkedIn Articles, GitHub, or high-authority PDF/Document hosting sites. They work cuz Google trusts the institutional quality of the main domain, giving your subpage instant authority. Use 'em as a quick Tier 1.
