Hey guys, I want to clarify something before I try it.
I have Domain X (health niche).
I also bought 3 expired domains:
A → B → C → X
And I’d build some backlinks to C before redirecting.
My logic was that since C is niche-relevant and clean, only the “filtered” authority would pass to X, and any negative signals from A or B wouldn’t directly affect my main site.
So my questions are:
Just want some honest feedback before I take any risk. Thanks!
I have Domain X (health niche).
I also bought 3 expired domains:
- A (bicycle niche, strong DR)
- B (jewelry niche, strong DR)
- C (same niche as Domain X, clean history)
A → B → C → X
And I’d build some backlinks to C before redirecting.
My logic was that since C is niche-relevant and clean, only the “filtered” authority would pass to X, and any negative signals from A or B wouldn’t directly affect my main site.
So my questions are:
- Does Google still trace the full redirect chain back?
- Would this give any real benefit or just a temporary boost?
- Could it hurt Domain X even if C is clean?
- What happens if I remove the redirects after a few months?
Just want some honest feedback before I take any risk. Thanks!
