Noindex + remove this urls will help?

I have an e-commerce website with 500 products: 60 with good and 440 with poor content (not so popular/important products).

My google positions are not so good for the main keywords: category pages and homepage.

My idea:
I take the product pages with low content into noindex (till I don't write content for all).

This will help for ranking with the good quality pages?

Should I also remove this new noindex pages with search console for a faster result? Or is this unnecessary?

Deindexing the low quality pages along with thin content pages is indeed a good thing for your SEO. If your category pages don't have much content and are not ranking well, you should deindex them aswell

Adding them to GSC will make the process faster, yes.
