I’m running PPC for roofing companies — mainly Facebook and Instagram ads. I create fully optimized static creatives for all formats (9:16, 2:3, 1:1). Right now, I’m testing 10 different creatives for one roofing client. Each creative has a different angle. I’m spending $10 per day on each creative — total daily budget is $100. I’m running broad targeting only, using Advantage+ without recommendations. The campaign is set for "Leads" and goes to a lead form (not the website). The website itself is high quality, has calculators, info, and looks professional — but I only send traffic there after form submission. It’s been 2 days and I’ve already burned $150 with no leads. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Maybe the budget is too small? Maybe Facebook ads don’t work at all? I also tried Google Ads — getting clicks, but no conversions there either. I’m starting to lose motivation and question if Facebook ads even work for roofing. Would really appreciate any thoughts or advice.

In my opinion Facebook isn't the spot for this type of campaign, what are the chances that a random Facebook user needs their roof repaired? You should go for Google targeting people searching roof repair in the area of your client

At one of the marketing lectures, I heard that it doesn't matter what settings you make in the Facebook advertising company, if your offer is weak, then no one will be interested.

I know this is a little late but my 2 cents:

Essentially what you are trying to do is prospect via Facebook ads, and that's going to be tough for roofing niche. Also, without getting any leads you will never get out of learning phase so what is even the point.

What you need first is Google Ads. Local Service Ads work the best to get reliable leads, but you better be there to answer the phone or you're wasting your money. Regular Google Ads are next for getting traffic outside of people that are hyper-active buyers.

If you are running normal Google Ads and getting traffic with no conversions yet, that's normal. Since you have meta pixel installed you can create an audience of people that came to the site and retarget them on Facebook.

Other than that you can try some other local sites like Nextdoor but the leads are even more expensive than Google LSA from what I've seen.

I cant agree more. Google for this would be a much better choice.

My two cents - remove AI generated images. A lot of people are against it and loose trust in the brand/offer when used.

Totally agree Facebook might not be the best place for this niche Google seems like a more targeted and cost effective option especially for local leads

It’s tough when the numbers don’t line up with the effort. Roofing is a high-trust service maybe you should try a warmer approach like adding a video testimonial to the mix? Your setup sounds solid, might just need a slight tweak to the offer. I hope this will help you!
