Niche with no good keywords?

Hi guys,

Have you ever tried to make a niche website only to find that the niche you're targeting doesn't have any low competition, long-tail keywords that you could rank for?

Are some niches so competitive (like online poker or weight loss) that it's difficult to rank for ANY keywords, even long-tail ones?

I usually verify my niche through keyword research so, no this hasnt happened to be an issue for me.

You should do keyword research first to avoid unnecessary expense like on setting up the site before it. If you do not find keywords, only some time is it wasted.
