Niche Domination

Ok,
So i gathered the money and i'm ready for a big project.

I want to create geo specific niche sites for at least 20-25 major cities and than create about 10 more for each city that will link to the money sites.

1) Should i complete each city websites before moving to the next city? i.e creating the money site for NYC(example), create its long tail sites and only then move to next city? or should i build first the money sites and then go to building the long tail sites?

2) I already purchased most domains, is it smart to start linking to them ( either from the sites that already up, or from other sites) before there is anything on them?

3) Is dedicated server, shared hosting (same ip), couple of different ips, or different ip for each site?

4) Any suggestions? this project will cost me couple of thousands and i want to make sure it done right...

Thought i'll try to bump it, might help.

Are you just pushing to the money sites or trying to rank the money sites?
If your money site is the main site and you're trying to push traffic and link juice to it, then do the money site first, let it age, get established, etc, whil you do the side sites.

If your money site is just a sales page and you don't really plan to get it ranked, or that's not the most important part, then work on the side sites first.

I have different host/ip for each of my small sites. Have about 60 at the moment.

Quite honestly I know you already bought some of the domains, but if you do it with multiple domains (or even subdomains) instead of a single one you have to build authority, PR and link juice for each separately, interlinking them looks like a play to rank each other better and I could see that being an issue with big G. I would strongly suggest going with a main domain and then subdirectories maindomain.com/city, if they are all part of a larger site having them on one ip isnt an issue, if they are all different and are linking to each other separate ips would be ideal, even if they are on the same C class. Maybe im not understanding why you want the separate domain route unless you wanted the domains to match the keywords exactly, are all the domains keyworded domains with the same keyword but different city? if you provide more info I might be able to tell better.

The money sites will be actual businesses and not affiliates, adsense, etc.

I need the money sites to rank. Those will be real business that will compete in local markets. I want to create the whole thing to establish strong rankings for about 5-10 money sites in the beginning.

Will you interlink all small sites between themselves? or link them only to money sites and build little to no links to them and that will be enough as they have very specific long tail (3 - 4 words) keyphrases.

Build the money sites now, let them age a bit, establish themselves in google. Build a link here and there, while you work on the small sites.

I'm not sure how I'm going to link them. So far out of about 10-15 of them, I kinda just linked however. Like if Google wasn't indexing it, I would link to it from a few of the other sites, some main page and some from inner pages of other sites. I also sent a few links to help rank some of the small sites. Some of the small sites (EMDs) hit the first page of Google with no other links, so I tried to push them to #1.

But I have to come up with a plan, because I have just over 100 domains that will be developed, and I don't want it to be a zoo of links, I'll lose track of everything. I haven't put up any new sites in a few weeks. I have about 30-40 up right now. Most are in the top 20, but I want them in the top 3. I am doing a little bit of link building on each site individually at the moment. Hopefully I can get a bunch of them #1 or atleast #3 with other links, then I can interlink to bump the others into the top 3 as well.

I'm not too worried about getting banned. Most sites have 3-5 pages, a few with around 10 pages of content. I have about five different themes I use. I make professional looking headers, and the content is well written, I have a writer and write some myself, so the sites have useful content and look good. So without linking to the money site yet, they look like really good informational sites, and I've actually have gotten some backlinks from other sites.

Which hosting provider you currently using? i'm using different providers at the time. Godaddy, aplus and couple more.

Do you do reciprocal linking between them or not?
