Next time, someone recommends using a disavow tool to eliminate bad links

So its only spammers that are using, lol, and encouraging others to use it. I'll admit, I never recommended or used it once.

Must be nice to have the leisurely time and money to go round in circles (buy links, get hammered, disavow, start to rise slowly, buy more links, get hammered, disavow...REPEAT)
 
The thing is, it never works as people except,
It won't fix your spammy link profile, "remove", or make Google "ignore" the links you've disavowed,
The only legit usage of it is part of fixing & appealing for a manual action, which could be taken into consideration,
Other than that, it's a complete waste of time, it's just a simple way to report websites/links to Google rather than affecting your website(s)
 
Had a negative seo attempt on one of my money sites used the disavow tool and I think I made my situation worst.....if it's not a pro negative seo attack it's better not to touch the disavow tool

This is so true.

Those spammy links don't go away from the GSC, no matter how long ago you submitted them.
