Newbies: this does NOT work

There are many misleading posts which can prove very detrimental to unexperimented site owners. One of them is: "you can increase your rankings using [some botted traffic generator]!" No, you CAN'T.

I've been testing out 10khits, ipts and somiibo. The results speak for themselves: either you get nothing or you will experiment a drastical drop (ipts).

Botted traffic can be easily spotted by G. Forget it!

Some members could perhaps share what does NOT work any longer with the newbies around here, as that would spare them some heavy mistakes.

Traffic going directly to a website was never a ranking factor at any point in time, in the past. I don't if there was anyone who genuinely believed that.

The only thing close that is debatable and has been subject of different conversations but not yet 100% proven is CTR manipulation. Manipulating the clicks on your site's appearance on the SERP. Some say it works, others say it doesn't but it's yet to be proven beyond.

There is no shortcut for newbie ..
Experts can experiment with new things.
but Blackhat always be the one which can ruin your career and it is also saturated method- Not lasting for many days.
