My first article is nearly done. I´d say it´s about 80% done, it just needs a final touch, some references and some cleaning up. Nearly everything has been hand-written by me, as the niche is so out of the mainstream, that although it does have monthly searches, there is neither much competition, nor help to get when asking AI.

I´m very confident in my keywords, a lot of them have 700-2k searched with a competition scores peaking around 13. I know the niche is profitable, as I have spend a lot of money whiten the space myself.

I feel like I´m off to be a pretty promising start. I´ve written the article, and plan to make an informational video, where I largely use the article as notes / a script to talk from.

I´m very new to SEO and keywords in general, and feel like I have done a lot of things right. How do I keep up this phase? I have no experience doing any of this, not familiar with the importance of keyword density, how many words to try to rank for per article, how to generate backlinks.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Good job so far. You need to find a way to easily create at least 1 post every 2 days for months without fail and without getting burnout. Each article max of 2 keywords to rank for but can have more keywords inside of article, and internal linking to other article. Ideal is 1 post per day for 1 keyword or longtail to gain authority.

Embed YT vid in blog post and maybe submit sitemap to google search console. Interact with other blogs if on a network. Social media accts warming up and interacting with zero links in posts anywhere only in bios.

After 3 months of this then turn on monetization thingies and start adding more parts for daily completion to kick up a notch. Of course there are many variables, this is general advice. SEO now is mostly about consistent content creation.

Thats a great start with a solid niche in your mind and also you have got a good keyword strategy! To maintain this, you must simply focus on creating good quality content, try for natural keyword usage, and start building backlinks through guest posts or relevant forums to boost your ranking well.

It is good thing that you are confident. But you have to be realistic with expectations on how the blog will perform in eyes of google. It is not going to be a cakewalk.

A lot of it is in our head. You'll only find out when you've posted enough content. Maybe there's no competition for now and maybe you're keyword research is on point, but someone may come along 6 months down the line, copy your content and post it on an aged domain with a better backlink profile.

Update: It seems that my S-tier keywords have very mixed data depending on the SEO-tool used.

UberSuggest: 2800 with ranking diff of 13/100
SemRush: 800: with a ranking diff of 44/100
Ahrefs: <100 with a ranking diff of "easy"

Since I have some insights into the niche, as it´s a personal field of interest, I suspect the truth would be somewhere between SemRush and UberSuggest, if not more searched than that.

What should I make of this?

Are you suggesting not incorporating affiliate for the first 3 months?

Also regarding the 1 post per. every 2 days. I think I might have went a little and beyond with the article I have in the draft. I realised it could cover an entire shopping list, rather than 1 single product. In fact a lot of the product that the site will "review" have many overlapping qualities. By making my first article so technical, I could cover 5-6 products in each section.

I think making a mega article like that is too early. I´m using blogger.com with no paid domain-name atm. Probably much wiser to go back to the drawing board and break it down, and make articles for each individual product. If we assume my niche was related to pools, the article I wrote would be teaching the user, why pibes blog, and whiten a list of 11 reasons why, 5-6 products could be recommended for that specific part of the problem-cascade.

What I have done here is definitely unsustainable for 1 post every 2 days

One of the shops I have partnered with do blogs as well. I would assume that they are also familiar with SEO. I´m not familiar with the culture regarding guest posts. Would it be rude / unprofessional to show them my article and offer them to use it for the respective product?

I vaguely remember Neil Patal suggesting doing something to the affect of that.

I think I always used to try to turn on the money too soon. I am having better success with starting without promotions and every site, search engine, social app seems to prefer this approach mostly. They can trust you and turn their back for a bit and they help promote you more. Get traffic first, then turn on income while they have guard down! Links in bios ok, not in posts.

Some big articles that cover a lot are good, along with smaller more focused ones. Dont overthink, just move on to new content and either learn that big article was good or bad for your site.

Then start brainstorming how to automate with your special twist. It is like a numbers game, some things will be perfect and still fail, other will be less than perfect and succeed. Crank out the content to improve odds of success, good luck!

I wouldn´t say it appears as though affiliate links have impacted my Youtube presence but I suppose, I have no idea if it´s because it´s largely not from SEO to begin with. Thanks for the advice, I´ll take it to heart

website blogging has too much competition now a days

Do something else! You won't get very far in blogging and writing articles yourself. Unless this is just a hobby and you do not expect earning money from it.

Any advice regarding guest posting?

I have partnered with a few brands that accepted me into their affiliate programs based on other social media presence. I understand it´s a way of generation high quality backlinks, but since the site´s I would asking to guess post already sell the products I´m writing about, wouldn´t that create a conflict of interest?
