Newbie with a new site.

Hi there everybody. I am a complete newbie when it comes to running websites and SEO. I recently started a website and passed what many would refer to as the "sandbox period". I am currently being ranked for around 25-30 new keywords daily(semrush stats). My content gets indexed by google in about 24hrs max. Are there any improvements I can make that some of the experts here can suggest?

I would say keep maintaining what you’ve been doing.

Outside of that, you’re going to want to start qualifying backlinks in your niche. Good, strong foundational links that will keep your website where it’s at now & then some.

Outside of finding quality backlinks, a good social media campaign can also help solidify what you’ve been doing.

Improvement for rankings usually comes down to backlinks. The more backlinks you have, and the better quality they are, the more and better rankings you'll get even if the page you're trying to rank has no content on it (I've seen a case study on this a few years ago).

But, good backlinks cost a ton of money (I recently saw a link on Cosmopolitan and Elle - 2 of the biggest magazines online - selling for $30,000, so yeah....) which means that most of the time you will need to focus on something else to get access to those rankings. And some of the things you can (and should) focus on are:

a) finding keywords that you can rank for fast and easy (rank for them without needing backlinks that is, and this comes down to getting your keyword research right)

Here are a few guides on how to find good keywords that you can rank for without breaking the bank. Pick whichever method you like from this list, they're all good:

b) content quality (how well your content addresses the intent behind the keyword that it targets)
c) content optimization (how well google understands what your content is about, and this is key because if you write content that the stupid googlebot can understand google will give you better rankings for that keyword).

d) technical SEO (basically, everything that's technical about your site that google pays attention to when they choose where to rank your site. Some of the most important elements of technical SEO include your site's structure, ease of navigation, cleanliness, speed, broken links and 404 pages, stuff like that)

e) user engagement (google pays a lot of attention to what people do on the sites that they visit, and if google sees that people flock to your site like brainless sheep and stick on it for long hours like moths drawn by the light they'll reward you with even more traffic and even better rankings.... or force you to pay for google ads, but that's another story)

Since your site is pretty new, I wouldn't worry so much about DR as it's something that comes over time, you can't expect to see it immediately even though your keywords rank pretty good. If you want to continue working on the quality of your site, check its performance, dedicate yourself to the technical SEO part, see if it's fast enough, responsive for all devices, are all images compressed, do you have tags and meta tags on all pages, and so on. Also, continue searching for good link sources, connect with other reliable sites related to your niche, and you'll start getting better results soon.
