Newbie SEO Help

Hi Everyone,

I'm quite new to the online world of seo and internet marketing and I really need some help, I purchased an IFTTT blog syndication service through Fiverr, all the blog contents get duplicated to a few blogs likes blogspot, weebly, tumblr and also some social bookmarking sites such reddit, delicious and diigo. Would google penalise me for duplicate content? and How should this really be done?

If your blog posts are click bait and funnel people to your money site this should produce temporary traffic from whichever site has the best PR and SEO factors... the lesser syndications will be filtered as dupes especially if the titles and summaries are exactly the same.

This strikes me more as a syndication traffic tactic than an SEO boost. That doesn't make it bad... just depends on what you are looking to get out of it.

as a general rule, all seo gigs on fiverr are shit (i wouldnt use any of them for anything other than TIER 3 crap). They are either worthless links or worse, spam links. Duplicate content at worst is just worthless and a waste of money. You will find half of them disappear in days, most that stick around dont index, and the few that do just look like spam and lower your overall link quality.

Hi, It wasn't an SEO package I purchased, just a syndication package because I was learning the ropes of IFTTT. All the content that is going to be syndicated will be my own but it will identical. Perhaps I could do this by varying the anchor text, or just using a naked url and stating the original source i.e my main moneysite blog. Any thoughts?Thanks Adam

Syndication of content is not duplicate content.

You should only worry about duplicate content on your own website. Syndication is fine and quite natural around the web, especially as it links back to your main site and also sends traffic.
