Newbie Rant

Definitely specialise.. Learn everything there is to know about one topic and keep trying. Don't go off and attempt every single method you see.

Every newbie has to start somewhere. And learning even the basics can be an intimidationg task.

Why not think about learning one new thing a week?

Start off with discovering how to create an effective blog or website? Spend a week finding out as much as you can about the mechanics of getting your site up.

Then maybe spend the next week learning about niche research?

The week after that learn how to do effecive keyword research.

Then start learning about effective SEO on your new blog in your new niche with the keywords you've uncovered.

When first starting out, I was like a lot of other newbies out there. I wanted it all yesterday...

Nobody crawls out of the womb knowing how to do this stuff; and it will take a little time to learn the correct way to do this stuff.

Budget a month or so to really master the basis; and use the threads here since almost all of the info you need is covered in this forum.

Once you understand the foundations of setting up your first successful site... You can easily scale up and start working on some more esoteric stuff.

It's easy to get sidetracked; but without the basic building blocks, you'll never get anywhere...

Very solid blueprint outline there that really puts everything in a nutshell. Thanks m8

Thanks for the links, the only question i kinda have thou is that in every big niche out there, there are mini niches for them so finding a mini niche in an already existing profitable niche isnt the issue but what makes one decide, i'm going for this niche or not?

Part of when you are searching for a niche is to make sure you grab one that is interesting to you. If you grab a niche about shoes and you hate shoes odds are you will not update your site and that could end up hurting you.

Something good for a newbie who wants to follow a really detailed plan ...

Scroll down and download the fatcat blueprint. Its a LONG read ... but it doesn't leave much to the imagination (extremely detailed information there). It's geared towards adsense.
