Hi everyone,
I’m a complete newbie here and I really hope to get some advice from the experienced members.

My site is: vividcozytile.com
It’s a niche e-commerce store focused on building materials (tiles, flooring, etc.).
Lately, I’ve noticed a serious drop in exposure and traffic. What confuses me is:
  • I haven’t used any black hat SEO or risky techniques.
  • The site is relatively new and I’ve tried to stick to “clean” methods (basic on-page SEO, content, product listings, etc.).
  • The biggest drop seems to be in organic visibility.
So my questions are:
  1. Is it normal that non-local / international e-commerce stores see weaker performance compared to local ones?
  2. Could there be other reasons for this decline (algorithm updates, competition, site speed, backlinks, etc.)?
  3. What are the first things you’d recommend a beginner check when traffic suddenly goes down?
I’d really appreciate any constructive suggestions. I’m still learning and trying to figure out the right direction, so all insights are welcome.

Thanks in advance!

This is a new website, mate. You’ll need some high-quality (or at least better quality) guest posts. Right now, you don’t have any. But since the site is new, just give it some time.

Drops like this usually happen because something changed technical stuff, content, or competition.
Did you recently change your site (theme, structure, URLs)? Check Google Search Console for manual penalties, indexing errors, or crawling issues. Also audit your content + backlinks losing good links or having outdated/low-quality content can kill visible rankings fast.

even clean SEO sites can dip. Start with speed, indexation, backlinks, and competition. Then focus on consistent content

Bro, thansk very much, I'm not sure if it's because of the content qualiity, I do not sure I should giveup the program. Someone else told me to give up the donain and set up a new one. But we spent too much time to establish it.

Thanks Bro. It seems the indexation are heathful as below. the speed is a big question as you mentioned.

Yeah, traffic drops can be normal for new sites since Google keeps testing rankings. I’d check Search Console, site speed, and recent updates first usually it comes down to competition or needing stronger backlinks.

New sites often see drops due to Google updates or weak backlinks, and these days Google tends to neglect newer websites as well.

Even well-optimized sites can see drops. Begin by checking site speed, indexing, backlinks, and the competition. After that, keep the focus on steady, high-quality content.

A sudden drop in organic visibility is a classic symptom of an algorithm update, even if you’ve been doing "clean" SEO. It’s also very normal for a new international store to see weaker initial performance than a local one since you lack a strong local authority. The first things to check are your Google Search Console for any manual actions or indexing issues, and then your site speed and on-page SEO. Also, analyze your top competitors to see what they are doing differently with their content and backlinks.

For a new site, a sudden traffic drop can often be linked to a backlink issue. I'd recommend you check your backlink profile for any toxic or low-quality links that might have been built without your knowledge. Also, perform a thorough UX audit. Google is placing more weight on user experience signals, so a poor user flow or high bounce rate can seriously impact your visibility, even on a technically sound site

A big visibility drop on a new e-commerce site is pretty common, especially after a Google update. New sites often get a small boost at first, then Google re-evaluates the pages once it has more data. It doesn’t mean you did anything wrong.

International e-commerce sites usually need stronger relevance and trust signals than local ones, so they tend to move slower. When traffic drops, the first things to check are:
• whether your content matches the search intent
• if your product pages have enough depth
• internal linking and site structure
• how fast your main pages load
• what your competitors are doing lately

Most of the time, early drops are just Google adjusting, and things improve as the site gains age and clearer signals.
