New YouTube Comments System - How to Survive

So in their attempt to make people use Google +, G is rolling out a YouTube comments change.

You can only comment using your Google Plus account (and name).

YouTube comments will now be automatically filtered to give priority to:

Video Uploader
People in your Google + circles
"Popular Personalities" aka YouTube celebrities, users with lots of views/likes/comments

You also have the option of sharing your comment to google + (I think they are desperate for content).

To view all comments, you will have to click, wait for it, "All Comments".

Why are they doing it? Google say it's to cut down on comment spam and trolling. Why are they really doing it? To make people use Google + socially and punish facebook.

So what does this mean for us blackhat comment gamers? To really dominate YouTube, we need lots of Google + accounts, with wide circles, AND popular YouTube videos. Once you've built up some strong accounts, your comments will get filtered to the top WITHOUT upvoting, making it even easier to drive traffic.

Hell yeah! I predict it will be even easier to spam now, because Google wants us to use plus, so in exchange we get our comments seen.

Thank you Google for making it easier to put comments on TOP. I am not in commenting business but i would love to moderate those competitors comments on my videos.

Even though I don't use comments for getting traffic myself, I think that people will find a way around it.

I am sure there is going to be a way to use this to our advantage.

That means if somehow you get some of the celebrities to add you in their Google + circle then you can easily go to their YT video and comment spam. Your comment will automatically make it to the top because Google will think you are close to them.

Does google mean "verified" profiles only! as anyone can create a google+ profile with justin bieber name and get thousands of people follow him! (i saw this method somewhere in BHW only). If it's not about verified profile then it would be damn easy

i think if you are in circles of video uploader , then your comment will rock.
but it will not be much worth.

google pva account = $0.50 + buy followers= $10 + make account look legit=wait 1 month before spamming.

google is trying hard to beat facebook, but google plus sucks. facebook advertise using adwords & why tje hell google not use their own search engine to rank google+ pages high than facebook . this way they can start getting community.

I don't think they mean just celebrities, there's an emphasis on YouTube celebrities, i.e. people with lots of views and subscribers etc. So it's easier to become one, if you know how to beef up your channel...

Hmm, thanks for sharing, but when exactly is this change supposed to occur? Also, to everyone suggesting that you could just buy followers or whatever and that will make your comments top rated - won't that be counter productive, since eventually your comments will get flagged and your account might get suspended? So, any investments in making Google+ accs grow will be pretty much pointless.

Im sure members will have workarounds to this once this is implemented. Right now this update is in beta stage and youtube implemented this on high profile channels only.
