Many people the world over make New Years' Resolutions and BHW, as a microcosm of society, is not any different in that respect.

I'm a tad different in that as long as I can remember I have not made a NYR but I do believe in making changes in my life for the better (tweaking my onsite internal personal SEO) and do them when I see a need and have the proper motivation. My thought process is not right nor is it wrong it is just my thought process.

Your thought process, like your mileage, may vary.

With the above in mind I would like to share my most recent life altering resolution and I sure hope that many of you share your resolutions whether they are New Years' ones or ones that you have just made to make your corner of the world a better place.

I've been working on being more locally social conscious and giving back to the community in more ways than just writing a check to the local non profits to help those in need.

Over the past few months I have developed a relationship with a local non profit where I teach a G.E.D. class 4 days a week A G.E.D. is a general education diploma and one gets that in place of a High School Diploma in the United States. A HS Diploma is the reward/proof that you spent 12 successful years in the school system in the USA and is the very basic requirement of education for most jobs here.

For a variety of reasons a lot of people do not finish HS and thus do not get the HS Diploma and thus that has created a need for the G.E.D. program... the reasons mean nothing to me as that is none of my business... helping them attain the G.E.D is what I am looking to accomplish with them.

The position is not a a paid one, of course, and I do have to deal with my medical speed bumps which get in the way sometimes as well as a lack of technology but we work through that together (the students and I) in order for them to achieve their goals. Thus far we have had 8 acquire their diploma and 6 more will be taking their equivalency test in January.

    #rewarding

So my "resolution" is to be more a part of my local community and give what little I have in terms of time and knowledge... what are your New Years' Resolutions and how to you plan on accomplishing them?

Good to see you post. It's amazing that you are willing to go down the route to help others. Most people who make money want to make more money.

I have had a mixed year with some success in the earlier half of the year. With the penguin update, I have lost mostly everything. I made a fresh start with CPA now and learning. I haven't yet had a campaign where I am making a profit or breaking even but I am beginning to lose less as the days goes by.

I am sure if I am able to keep at it for few months, I'll start turning over a positive ROI soon.

My aim for the year(Business wise) is to have a stable income of atleast $1000 per month which is essential as I am going to get married around August.

Awesome to hear you are doing ok Greg the skype group has been ever so quiet lately.

Good on you in giving something back locally and helping people to further themselves.

It's easy to get caught up chasing dollars and trying to hit that x,xx,xxx dollars/pounds/monopoly money a day method/s. People forget how satisfying it can be to help others both offline and online.

I aim for next year to be more active in doing methods and less reading. Hopefully this will enable me to find my own method/service that I can provide and allow me the job freedom I want.

I plan to open a school for poor kids especially those who are beggars or homeless. I know it will take a hell lot of money, but it's my dream to start such a school and teach such kids. I don't want anything in return. I will be working hard in my business. I will try to maximize my earnings and maybe start the school at a small scale. I don't want 100 kids at once. Even if I get 10 kids initially, I will be glad, because my main concern is educating them and making them stand on their own feet. I know this might sound insane and stupid now, but I believe I can do this.

I would need blessings of everyone, which also includes blessings of this community. Of course, I also want to spend quality time with my parents who have been pillars in my life. Whatever I am today, it's all because of their blessings and support, so I will try showering them lots of love because with each passing year they are getting older and older, and I want them to not feel lonely.

God Bless you mate for doing something for the society. We need more and more people like you who are selfless. Happy New Year.

    Cheers :)

Greg - nice to see you round again and nice one on helping others out with the GED stuff.

I will be starting the year with a funeral, so I guess 2013 won't be much different to 2012 - people leaving the planet before they should. Guess it makes me feel more human, it will ensure that I am not tied to a PC 24/7 and care about those that mean a shit load to me.

For the last 19 years of my life I have hoped that things would get better than the previous, it hasn't yet so fingers crossed again.

On that downer note I will always have a resolution and that is to better myself, be more approachable and try to calm the anger / temper. It has worked a little in previous years but I still fall off the wagon occasionally and the dark moods kick in.

With that, whatever people choose as a resolution I hope it all works out for you - happy new year when it happens (even some of you guys are already there!)

Take care of what is precious to you and don't let money take over where it shouldn't.........

    1. Keep weightlifting, stay dedicated even through injuries (like right now)
    2. Reach out more to friends/old friends. I have a bad habit of waiting for people to contact me.
    3. Quit weed for a month or two and assess how I feel
    4. Make more of an attempt at getting an internship
    5. Make some bank off my authority site
