I refreshed my titles and headings and it really geve me some good results. a few pages already had impressions but needed better targeting.

Yes, I agree. Updating old posts and improving internal linking can have a big impact on SEO. It can be something simple, really.
Same here, IMHO working on updating old content & fixing internal links is more productive than always linking new pages. I generally work on pages that have impressions but are not quite in the top 10 yet.

two things I think people still overlook
using the right schema for the page and make sure it matches what people can actually see. don't just add FAQ schema to every page because a plugin makes it easy.
also, add links from older, trusted pages to newer ones. This can help Google find and understand new pages faster.
nothing fancy, but I have found these more useful than constantly updating old content just for the sake of it.

Nothing fancy imo. i have seen better success recently with page updates that uses actual queries variation in gsc followed by tightening up the internal linking for those pages. slow process but pretty much consistent so far.

Focusing on topical authority.....strong internal linking and genuinely useful content has been more effective than chasing backlinks alone.
Also targeting low-competition long-tail keywords and updating content based on Search Console data can bring steady growth.

I have been putting more effort into topical coverage and first hand information instead of chasing keyword's alone. It seems to work better when the whole site feels useful around a topic.
In any case what is new seems to be primarily an improvement in mastering the funda mentals gud topical targeting good internal linking and content that addresses the whole query. i have also comes across first hand data on forum or the community discussions beating standard keyword research for topic ideas.

One thing that’s worked well for me is focusing more on topical depth and strengthening internal links between closely related pages. I’ve also had good results refreshing pages that already get impressions instead of always chasing new keywords.

It was probably more about the fact you refreshed the pages than the content you put in those titles and headings

One thing that's worked surprisingly well for me is going back through older content and looking at the queries where the page is already getting impressions but isn't quite matching the search intent. Instead of just adding more keywords, I'll rewrite sections, answer the missing questions, improve internal links, and add something genuinely useful like first-hand examples or screenshots. It doesn't produce overnight results, but I've had older pages start moving again after a few weeks. Has anyone else found content refreshes more effective than publishing more new pages lately?
I have seen better results by working on pages that are already getting some traffic. I look at what users are searching for add anything that is missing refresh old information and strengthen the internal links when they make sense. For me that is been much more effective than chasing every new SEO trend.

It would be best to make things easier initially, but gradually increase the activity depending on how the account reacts. Whether the iPhone is new or not, I would use the device normally for some time before posting anything.
