Hi, new to the forums,
I've been researching for the past several hours trying to figure out how to use a proxy in a tor browser. I don't quite understand how they work with ports and such. Is it even possible to use a Socks5 Proxy in a tor browser with most sites being Https? Or would I need some type of conversion. Also how often do you have to switch proxies? Im assuming the answer depends on what you're using it for so there's probably no good answer there. Also do I need to download some type of specific software to run these proxies? Sorry for all the questions as you can tell I am extremely new to the forums.

Hey,

What is it you are trying to achieve?

You don't need to use a proxy with the tor browser. I wouldn't try signing up/using any services from a tor exit node (The pc/ip you access the internet from when using tor) They will all be blacklisted, slow or both.

Using a browser such as firefox with a http/socks4/5 proxy just needs the ip/port setting up in the settings under network. Also probably best to check *resolve dns remotely* if using socks5.

You can easily add your proxy here!
Socks 5 proxy give me anonymity than HTTP for it's UDP level!

Just buy proxies in the marketplace on this forum. It is better

I dont recommend using TOR at all, especially for managing social accounts you will get banned easily

You can find a lot of great quality proxies here on BHW ,it's much better than using Tor
