New To Link Building And Back Linking Where Do I Start?

Hey Guys,

I was using the Google Keyword Tool and I found a keyword that had very high traffic and low competition. Not sharing what it is (sorry). Anyway, I started a blog about it (with blogger), put AdSense on it, and already have my first months worth of posts queued up to post automatically every day at noon. I am very very very new to SEO (only joined BHW about 4-5 days ago) but in that time I have spent over 40 hours doing research and reading all sorts of threads. One thing I was not able to find however, was how you should start out link building and back linking to your site. My blog is only about 2 or 3 hours old now, so I don't think it would probably be a good idea to blast it with thousands of crappy back links from Fiverr. How do I get started doing this kind of thing? (FYI I don't have any private proxys and do not have a lot of money to invest in this, the whole point of me doing this is to get experience doing some SEO work and hopefully make a bit of money too [so that I can invest that money in other projects.]) What can I do to start link building/back linking my blog for like $20 or less and also, just so I know for the future, what would be the best thing to do if I had more money to invest in this? Just try getting SEO Linkbuilding services from the marketplace it will definitely help a ton in terms of ranking.

if don wan to spend, then try doing it manually.. start with bookmarks specially stumble as it can get you loads of traffic.

Low in Google Keyword Tool, does not mean that it is low comp in search engine ranking. It means not many people bid on the keyword in Adwords.

Isn't it bad for your site if you blast it with a ton of back links right away? I thought that that would make your site seem strange to Google because it has only been up for a short time and then, all of a sudden it has tons of backlinks. Isn't there something that I am suppose to do to sort of start it off before I buy a ton of back links?

I apologies for my ignorance, but what do you mean exactly? I'm assuming you are talking about StumbleUpon, but what do you mean bookmarks? (I've never really used StumbleUpon before.) Do you just mean bookmarks as in, get people to bookmark it in their browser?

You don't have to spend any money link building. In fact if you are new I would advise doing it yourself first. There is a lot of link building services that can give you a negative ROI on your money and will end up hurting your site instead of boosting it. Especially if your site is new.

I advice it to naturally .Google does not expect thousands of backlinks in first few months of you blog so do it slowly .

Manual link building suck to be honest.
I've tried it and got bored of it. You would feel like a robot.
Anyway why not try cheap BST threads? They would surely get you results because our Moderators always verifies the thread before they let it out in the market.

You can start building backlinks for your site from next month. Currently focus just only on writing content for your own site because content rich sites do better in the search engines.

In fact, a lot of the marketing that you can achieve online is either really cheap or free. All it takes is a little bit of time and little bit of knowhow.

Talking about link building, there are lots of ways to get them the free (and legitimate) way. Among them are:

guest-blogging - getting an incoming link from a relevant authoritative blog with good traffic will definitely be great for your new site;
forum commenting and forum signature links - getting links this way is also good. Yes, due to the recent changes in Google's algos, this type of links have insignificant SEO value. However, if you become an active forum member and post relevant, informative comments, people will follow your links and click on the links in your signature. Thus you will increase traffic to your site;
links from directories - getting a website listed in authoritative local directories is great for link building. However, we advise you to watch out for some free directories mainly because the search engines don't value them highly and a link could actually be damaging.

Also,

since link building is good for everyone, you can analyze your online competition, analyze the sources your competitors' sites backlinks are coming from and try to get links there too.

And also note that you should build links for your new site in a natural way. Don't build too many links at once, try to build links at a natural pace and consider their relevance and quality.

You should try creating good content first and foremost and then sharing them on social sites.

Have you tried getting your social media accounts setup ? that way you can cross promote your content, write more because it's never enough when you are new, i would also advice starting your own link building yourself for now, allow for some time then come back to the market place and pick recommended services by other members
