New to facebook advertising

Most important advice: don't make any advance payment to the FB. You can add your Credit card to be charged once it reached a certain amount but never ever upload money to your FB wallet.
Because FB is not like AdWords; they can ban your AD account, if you do a single mistake which is against their T&C.

It depends on what you want to do. But the best and most generic one I can give you right now is that you should understand your target audience, first, before you start spending your money on any promotion.

Facebook ads are the best method to gain an audience. If you are run right campaign.

I want to actively advertise my affilliate programs and products. I am aware of the engagement process to build trust but there are those who need services now and would sign up now. How do I reach those with getting my FB account shut down. Have limited exposure to advertising and have a fan page. I confess that my posts are inconsistant.

FBADS today like monster ..
Where do you start?

They are lowering the reach of pages. so boost post will work good
Is there a formula th will work for everything.

Do I target private groups specificlly or broadcast and sift through those who respond. I would like to shorten the process somewhat.

Start by reading facebook's own blue print; https://www.facebook.com/blueprint

then go to youtube and type in "facebook ads" and things related to facebook that you learned from that course... and tick the option that will only show you 1 year old results (or newer).

G00d luck

I second this Facebook Blueprint is excellent to better understand how work the platform.

Then for me the key is : test everything.

How about Affiliate Marketing ads on Face Book or any of the others specifically Linkedin?

small reminder, read their terms of service if you don't want to end up getting banned. when you advertise affiliate products you're better of asking questions here about your setup to confirm if it works

advertising platforms are hard on affiliate companies like click bank and maxbounty

why even we pay , we still banned ? i dont understand

Thats how advertisement platforms are, they mainly do this because people abuse their platforms, you've seen how facebook was in public scrutiny because of Russians interfering with elections. In this case its because of marketers doing different methods to spam promote their affiliate offers.

Thanks, I set up a fan page and joined a few groups . Started to engage. Also boost posted a few of my posts and reaching some people without pitching any of my products. Looking to provide value and encouragement . I do not want my account banned or shut down. When and how would be the best time to begin prospecting ?

Really, it depends on what you want to do. Another way of saying it... it depends on your busienss model.
1. want to sell physical products? run website conversions campaigns
2. want to build list? run lead gen campaigns. You can run conversions campaigns too, just set up pixel to track your optinon the thank-you page
3. want to get exposure of your new fan page? run ''likes'' campaigns
4. want to get more engagement for your page post? run PPE campaigns.
