I have a study site I am building up at the moment. The site is about 2 weeks old.

I am adding 2 high quality 2000 word articles per week, hand written, well researched, very helpful and informative, expensive too.

At what stage do I start building links. Should i wait 3-6 months?
How many links do I buy?
At what stage do i stop linking and just let them grow organically because of my high quality content?
Are there links I can buy that will always be 100% google safe?

If i was thinking of only getting a few high quality links from other study sites.

My goal is to have 100-200 uv per day within 6 months and end up high authority site. With 1000-2000 views per day a few years down the track.

I am open to ideas and information and willing to spend big coin if its helpful long term with no possible setbacks.

Cheers Justin

I wait 1 month max and Start with social media Immediately....
For link building I do something like drip feed first week in second month 2 authority guest posts, 2nd week 3 authority 1 web 2.0 , keeping it bit random and scaling it up slowly..

Hey :)

I write for a DA 59, Trust flow 42 health news site (google news). I cite a lot of studies. So if your site is a study site, it's definitely within the niche. PM me if you're interested :)

I also have two DA 90s.

Thanks for that, I had a old social media account that worked perfectly for this site, as i had one very similar few years ago then gave up :). Will follow your advice on high quality slow scale.

I can't pm yet sorry :(, could you pm me, they sound like great links. What kind of price are you after?

You can start building the backlinks on your website at any time but make sure your links are from the quality websites. The count is no matter but the Quality wins over the quantity. So, focus only on the quality backlinks. Also, keep adding the quality contents and update your website regularly.

i used Sape Links Network for back links, its not cheap around $77 a month, but its a good way to kick you off with some high quality back links

Start with social media then start adding a quality Tier 1 of Web 2.0's and well placed content links, then build a tier 2 to those.

You can start building links any time, just start slow and be sensible.

I don't like the idea of Web 2.0 and 3 tier systems. I feel like in 2 years time that will be scraped/punished. I don't want to be forever changing my link build or look over my shoulder every google update.
