Man Po, that would be a fantastic idea if it could ever be done. It would take care of a lot of the problems that end up in the Shit List right now. Definately not an easy thing for you guys to set up though. Lots of rules and regulations to learn. It might not be as regulated as trying to open a bank, but still VERY regulated. Do it wrong and could get in more trouble than probably anything else you've ever done. Of course it worked out pretty good for PayPal.


In the meantime, people just need to do their homework before ordering anything, and try small packages first. Even with good due dilligence reseach, people need to be prepared for what Tygrus brought up. Even long time service threads, can end with a trusted member scamming a bunch of people.

That's sad, but true.

Last few month I got scammed twice even though those service provider are VIP. I found something weird if some one want to provide service, they just upgrade to VIP and scammed. when me and other newbie saw he is VIP member thn we start believe him and the end is become scammed. So add something to VIP member or service provider profile, before he or she start provide service they need to phone verified. might be it can protect us from getting scammed..

Well, I think real pva, like Admin or mod will talk to them then they will get pva it is all up to administration of this forums.

The only solution then is to have everyone who offers and buys services here to go through getafreelancer.com then. They can still advertise here and communicate with bhw members in a thread, but if you want to buy, you put up a dedicated job call for that person on GAF and they respond to it, then an escrow feature can be used.

This way, bhw members still get to work with each other rather than anonymous freelancers but there is protection in place.

This also creates another rating system other than the i-trader. GAF has its own rating system with comment features so you will know before you hire someone if they have ever scammed anyone.

And if there is ever a dispute, its GAF's problem, not BHW.

Everyone gets scammed, I've done designs and not been paid. Some people are shady.

Just be careful with whom you decide to do business, read their posts, watch how they behave. See what other people say about them. Do some research before you part with your money. Talk to them on instant messenger.

When you get scammed, your judgment failed. Maybe you were greedy, maybe you were anxious, maybe you didn't think, or MAYBE, someone was really fuckin broke, and needed cash bad and you got screwed.

Atleast you didn't get knifed on the street for your wallet.

is there a better way to know who are these people besides looking at the sh!t list? i mean how are you able to tell... maybe thruwhat they offering.. being honest i find bhw a good opportunity to find JV but what im afraid to be scammed.

This is more of an issue than any of you can imagine.

75% of the products are the sold as revisions, updates, and upgrades over and over. THEY ARE THE SAME GARBAGE TOOLS YOU BOUGHT AND DIDNT MAKE ANY MONEY FROM.

The same product is given 2-3 different names, interfaces, and are compiled and sold by different vendors, ITS THE SAME PRODUCT AND PERSON SELLING THEM.

Methods which are shared, are the same old tricks, recompiled and redistributed with a new twist and price tag. DID SOMEONE WRITE A METHOD REWRITER?

I have been browsing these forms for a little while now and noticed its the same old bs, over and over, the only way to make money is to spend the time doing real work and invest in the real products that can make your venture successful. Stop thinking some Joe Schmoe has all the answers to your problems. You will not be scammed if you take the time to figure out what you actually need and work on aquiring them yourself. Those without programming knowledge can deal with firms who program applications. Many of them will work with you on contract, where you can make sure you get what you want without paying until you are satisfied. This is just my 2 cents. Sorry to burst bubbles.

i think in 150 transactions here ive had 1 payment
unauthorized back from paypal from a bhw member
which isnt bad.
strange thing is bhw mods do advise caution when dealing
with low post users - or accounts with 1/2 posts that suddenly
become active after a long dormant period.
no transaction is fool proof i tend to look at a person post ratio
what they have bought b4 and feedback on there transactions.

and i also found a way round excepting buyers with low post rep
without having to use paypal - i get them to mail there payment
via recorded delivery and post proof pic on receipt on my sales thread.

but i do love it when a member with 1 post with an account 2 yrs old
offers to pay me via paypal and when i expain why i wont do it for 1
post members - but offer the alternative of sending it recorded mail
delivery - they call me a scammer - even though i have several payments
mailed with pics on my sales thread.

in the 1 post members eyes - it doesnt matter that honest people work
hard for what we do - but they think there 1 post makes them god
me no scam you - me good member . then good with 1 post mail your
payment then theres no way to get payment unauthorized and when
they say no .. u no u got 1

You appear to think blackhat is all about stealing, robbing and abusing people for your best income effort, based strictly on what you've stated.

My understanding and definition of blackhat is to bend and manipulate the rules of the systems set to get around them for new ways of making income.

Nowhere in that does it say spam, steal, rob, cheat, abuse nor take people money illegitimately.

My suggestion would be that you ease back and take an evaluation of your current perspective, because you sound like you are a prime candidate for not only supporting that misconduct but, possibly taking part in those actions.

Blackhat isn't about hurting anyone, bro. It is about making money around the system.

You're right. BH is about pushing the system to the edge. Heck, BH is more ethical than many corporations when it comes to how we make $.

I think if you purposely fraud someone you derserve the punishment.

My post was simply pointing out that I'm tired of seeing people whine and complain about someone "scamming" them and turn around and post questions about how to unethically get money from others. Just pi**es me off.

My other point was if you get scammed for $2,000 because you weren't smart enough to try the $20 package first... come on... Yes the person who took their money was wrong but where do you draw the line on stupidity.

I'm a very ethical perso who just cannot stand whiners, complainers and people who only post negative comments.
