Hey guys,

Im not sure if anyone has covered this yet or not. I use the application Crowdfire to follow and unfollow Instagram users in my niche. I received a notification from them this morning stating that as of June the 1st 2016 due to a new change in policy Instagram will no longer be allowing the follow feature from 3rd party applications and Crowdfire will be removing the feature.

Just a heads up for anyone using FL or any other botting software to be careful. I am unsure how strict they will be with this in the future but it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of accounts start getting banned. I will be looking to go down the path of using macro scripts for following and unfollowing in the future.

Let me know if you have any accounts banned once the new policy takes charge!

its discussed already here.
FL and MP have private apis and should be ok.....at least we hope so :)

Yeah, should be no problem for FL and MP. We'll know for sure tomorrow or the day after. Fingers crossed!

I think, this is good for us using good bot software. Now, people that we unfollow will find it harder to unfollow us, unless they do it manually. If they follow 200+ people it gets to be very time consuming to check everyone that follows you back, one by one.

Please correct me, if my thinking is wrong regarding the unfollow if using Crowdfire, etc.

Thats great to hear. Lets hope the bot software doesn't get affected. Now I think about it I doubt they would use Instagrams API so they should be fine. lets just hope its not all coming to an end. I could be wrong but I do believe they have just removed the copy followers function of the application on Crowdfire. I think you can still use the unfollow as normal. However, I doubt many will use Crowdfire for Instagram now as the main feature was copy followers and without that it becomes a lot less valuable.

There is absolutely nothing to worry about.
Crowdfire, Hootsuite and other big, official pages and apps will get affected, but most blackhat bots are safe.

Ye, don't worry, blackhat bots will be ok ;)
