New Google Update?

Several sites that I was following have literally disappeared from Google, they only appear when I write their name with ".com"

The sites I was following were using a lot of BH links, PBN and whatnot, my site seems unaffected if not a tad-bit better. What about you?

Probably, a lot of people report sites that've been hit. What industry were the sites you were following?
 
A few pages have dropped and you say it's an update?
I monitor 500 moneysite and 15k phrases and nothing is happening right now.

im in the same niche, also found a few tech sites to get hit.

Some of my new posts also not getting ranked for super easy keywords for some reason (I am targetting keywords in the way they're mentioning but unlike what they said, I can't make 1 post for all of the keywords im targetting without completely ruining user experience which is exactly what they dont want lol)
 
Other threads mentioned big tech and supplement sites got hit quite hard. Do you guys think Google got smarter when it comes to PBNs?
 
yes this update really messed up my rankings. i am in legal niche
 
No negatives at all here. Business as usually which means regular ups and downs (I own PBN rental service).

Some friends claim Google went after guest posting services. These services usually make your link look like hacker's injection.

False, NFL jerseys SERPs haven't really changed much, and they use a ton of those links.

I didn't notice any change at all really... maybe one site went down a few ranks and now it's back already.

I'm not familiar with them so can't tell.

It's just a rumor. I haven't experienced anything like I said so can't really tell.
 
Google these days RARELY does what you'd call "updates" as we used to know them. The AI does, however, take its own actions on a VERY regular basis and in specific situations/niches can cause big waves that you might figure was a large update... but was limited in scope.

I have around 30 sites... only 1 was hit in this "new" update around 12/22... lost 60% of my google traffic in that site......
I am still trying figure out what is going on
