Not sure, I checked out 5 websites at random. Everything seems to be stable for all of their keywords. btw which side of the swing it is?
All my keywords took a nosedive, will continue checking. I've only done white hat linking to them.
Did you realize the same thing happen during the last few days? Or is it just happening right now?
Unbelievably, one of my sites (manual comments, guestposts of high quality, lots of web 2.0s to the site in 3-4 tier pyramids) just dropped about 30 spots across keywords... some keywords I haven't linked in on for a long time.
Several huge, huge sites in this niche went from #5 or so to not in top 150... so I guess I should count myself lucky that google only screwed my efforts a "little"
This occurred roughly 3 hours ago, at midnight EST.
Exactly what my site was, pure high quality with unique web 2.0s and other whitehat methods. Dropped 10-20 spots. What do they think they're doing now?
I think a lot of these position changes are because ppl don't quite understand personalized search and how it affects rankings. Make sure you are logged out of your Google account, your location is set to 'USA' not your local town and make sure that when you go to http://www google com/history/optout?hl=en this is disabled.
