Anyone notice any major changes in rankings within the past few hours? I am noticing some major swings on almost all of my keywords...

Not sure, I checked out 5 websites at random. Everything seems to be stable for all of their keywords. btw which side of the swing it is?

Some of my Sites falled down a little bit, since yesterday. I don't know why. The Links are all High Quality.
Let's see the next days

All my keywords took a nosedive, will continue checking. I've only done white hat linking to them.

Not the good side...

Did you realize the same thing happen during the last few days? Or is it just happening right now?

Unbelievably, one of my sites (manual comments, guestposts of high quality, lots of web 2.0s to the site in 3-4 tier pyramids) just dropped about 30 spots across keywords... some keywords I haven't linked in on for a long time.

Several huge, huge sites in this niche went from #5 or so to not in top 150... so I guess I should count myself lucky that google only screwed my efforts a "little"

This occurred roughly 3 hours ago, at midnight EST.

None of my sites were affected with this weeks earlier update/bug but some of them are now.

Exactly what my site was, pure high quality with unique web 2.0s and other whitehat methods. Dropped 10-20 spots. What do they think they're doing now?

I looked in google webmaster tools, no messages (never received one back in Feb either for one of my sites). I noticed that the total backlinks just dropped by 700 links in... I have a feeling this is responsible.

Also google has literally no clue what they're doing right now, and I've given up trying to figure it out.
Since February, my SEO strategy in highly profitable and ultra competitive markets has changed.

One of my PR5 sites, with thousands of high quality, manual and in content links from tons of sources is till in the #50 range on its huge keyword, and it's still being outranked by sites with 1/10th this number of links coming in, PR1 and of dubious quality.

Ony of my major keywords has had the 1st page results shuffled quite a bit...

The new #1 ranking page is a very low quality blog post on a pure MFA site with no privacy policy, terms, contact or anything of that nature. The content itself is full of spelling and grammar errors. It has top heavy ads above the fold. It has 8 total backlinks all from splogs with the same anchor (the keyword). Even the template is a pile of trash that looks like its from the 90s. There are no pictures, videos, social shares or any type of media content. Just a pure text page.

This page would be the exact definition of what Google does NOT want....

So, WTF?

not sure what to say...some of my keywords are up and some of them are down...

i track a sick number of keywords, so i don't know if this is good or bad...

my only recommendation is to continue to de-optimize your anchor text and hope to see the other side of the moon when it appears...

hopefully all this up and down can settle down over the next month or two...this is causing me severe chest pain and heart palpitations...

i think i need to buy health insurance and see a cardiologist...

I think a lot of these position changes are because ppl don't quite understand personalized search and how it affects rankings. Make sure you are logged out of your Google account, your location is set to 'USA' not your local town and make sure that when you go to http://www google com/history/optout?hl=en this is disabled.

Cmon man we're not idiots...

A bunch of my normal heavy hitter keywords have been down for about 3 days now but still ranking for some longtails so not all is lost at the moment. Totally agree with Expertpeon, i don't think G has a effen clue what they are doing so we'll never know for sure.

Some of my pages have been pushed down to 150+

Looks like it is down to Google's mistake, saw this quote from Matt Cutts as I was trawling through the latest SEO news:

"I saw a recent post where several sites were asking about their search rankings. The short explanation is that it turns out that our classifier for parked domains was reading from a couple files which mistakenly were empty. As a result, we classified some sites as parked when they weren't.I apologize for this; it looks like the issue is fixed now, and we'll look into how to prevent this from happening again."
