New Google Update - Keyword Density - Contribute

I guess it was about anchor text diversity. Anything below 10% retained their position. Again that is my assumption. No one knows actually what is going on.

Stop worrying about keyword density, jesus christ.
Do you think the top sites in the world create articles than say, "Oh fuck, I think I used the keyword one too many times, I better take it out!"
Just write your article to accomplish what it needs to accomplish and that's it.
If you're worrying about keyword density, you're doing things wrong.

100% right, here is the proof:

keyword #1 kd 1,83% #1--> 11
keyword #2 kd 1.80% #1--> 02
keyword #3 kd 1.29% #1--> 02
keyword #4 kd 3,36% #2--> 03

Rankingdropings -> keyword density is bullshit!

Matin actually you proved my theory. I am saying between 0-2% keyword density most of my keywords dropped too. 2-5% the rankings stayed the same or rise. But probably as we get more feedbacks this is connected to anchor diversity too. But we need more info on this. For now i am almost sure the quality of the backlinks are less important in this update.Because i am seeing some spam sites rise again.

This is nonsense :D You are assuming that rankings are only affected by keyword density.

I wouldn't worry that much about keyword density, but rather on the quality of the website and the backlink profile.

Quality of the website i agree. But the quality of the backlinks i am not sure. I am seeing some sites with tough niches long tail keywords ranked with total spam and nothing else.

We all know G algo is not perfect, that's why SEO still works. But we also know that sites ranking with spam usually won't last long and it's just a matter of a couple weeks or months until they vanish.

Yeah yeah i totally agree. Maybe churn burn sites got a little more advantage on this update. OR maybe its temporary and in few days they will roll the real algo and it will get fixed. I guess they still didn't make the anouncement yet.

i am 7% and i drop 30 spot.

OP, did you check your anchor text % ?

Yes i keep 1 keyword about 10 % and use about 5-6 keywords and 30-40 brand, generic anchors. I didn't get hit hard only 5-10 spots but its still weird some spam sites got to page 1 for a lot of keywords.

Weird . Yes still a lot of spam sites in the first spots but does who "abuse" of anchor text % (spamming or not) sooner or later disappear (as mention before by @Aty). Maybe spamming is still working ;)

Yeah this update made me belive spamming is working if its not fixed in the next few days. And i ll continue to watch the serps if those sites stay for 2-3 weeks i ll do it myself=).They are blocking like 3-4000 Dollars / month niches with long tail keywords. And i could outsource their link profile from fiverr for like 50-60 bucks.

Nothing like testing :) A lot of "that doesn't work anymore, because G this and that" you tried and it works for you, your niche, or for whatever reason but it works !

Guys its Panda not penguin. It is more about onpage seo as i guessed before. I knew it bec some sites with almost the same backlink profile some of them got hit 5-10 spots and the others didn't. I guess its about keyword density,thin content,ads above the fold,lots of affiliate links. Anyone agree?
