New Google Update January 2020

Of course bro...sorry if I sounded confrontational...not my intentions.
I didn't mean too sound like that either, apologies here too - I've had a bit too many drinks tonight. Got all but respect for you. I think that's why people are asking for your opinion here too - You know your stuff.

Might not be related to links, but I see some patterns in regards to domain authority.

no changes on my sites. still got to wait and see. Let's hope this update has no adverse impact.

In my websites that got hit today I saw that the page is indexed again, now show me the correct page indexed and the correct "Google page" at the bottom of the page. But nothing changed in visitors and keywords, still the same shit

Backlinks are/have

1. medium/high authority sites
2. relevancy (contextually and/or from site level)
3. at least some traffic
4. quality link profiles (and upstream)
5. mostly stay away from low level backlinks.

Nothing ground breaking here and honestly, with a massive forum full of SEOs, it's astonishing that I even have to write this.
What is your anchor ratio? Do you think something like this is good?

Just want to know your opinion, i want to analyze but doesnt have enough data.

It really depends on the niche. Google's tolerance for over-optimization is wildly different from niche to niche. Therefore, but really want to analyze the top 10 websites for each SERP and adjust your anchor strategy from there. Of course best practices apply here.

Not really sure what you wanted me to look at? PM it to me for clarification.

I see many scraper and low quality sites rise, and high-quality sites like lifewire DIP. Don't know what to conclude from this update.
It's definitely not the links, not the speed.

Google update is always expected and deadly lol

The crawling went fully mad on one of my other websites, making it lose almost all it rankings. Category pages and some other useless pages still in the index, main pages are not in the index. No penalty shown in google webmaster tools. Its getting really ridiculous.

You mean Benjamin Buttons? :D

Was it Benjamin? While I'm going older the MF is going younger so I'll owe him that one.

I think you misunderstand me. I only altered interlinking after the November update and after rankings where lost. The past few weeks have seen improvements across the board, starting in the new year and improving again after the 14th of January.

Overall I'm up 50% from this date in December and down 30% from this date in October. SO, I've seen some recovery from the November update but I'm still a long way away from pre-November numbers.

Ah, yeah. I misunderstood you then. Glad you recovered some of those rankings.

Very interesting! without mentioning your keyword, can you use another word and tell us before and after of your title.

I do have noticed similar improvement by changing my title.

another question: it seems that you did not SUBMIT your site for reindexing. you just allowed to come and index it by itself and notice the new title. correct? it seems that google does not like it when you manually submit your site for indexing in google search console. would like to see others thought on this.

@bartosimpsonio - you thoughts on this?

Well from what I gather on this thread I think it's been a very short time between when he changed on-page stuff and when he saw the results.

I think there's been some shifting within this update that is more compatible with a former algorithm. I've seen some sites go back to what they were in last september. So this update is still ongoing and there's more to come off it IMO.

As long as you continue to post good quality article relevant to your blog and build healthy backlinks you dont have to worry about the updates

That's the biggest load of SEO lies that gets spouted by so-called 'SEO' gurus.

Nobody is immune from Google Updates, no matter if they are the whitest of white SEOs to have ever existed and only ever post pure written gold, they can, for no discernible reason get smacked by a google update. They might recover, but they might not as well.

Your comment stinks of smugness..... until the day it happens to you!

Yes, I thought it cant get worse after 17th December, but holy shit...what are these guys doing? Its such a shit show.

Also what I am wondering is: Are these guys damaging themselves on purpose? Seems like some people sitting there and work have no idea what they are doing. Its like their algo and crawler is broken. Sad truth: 5 years ago it worked better than today. Its just beyond me how they can fuck up so heavily

This is how it should be, but unfortunately its not true. What I can see is: Spam, spun articles on high DA sites etc. are ranking in the Top 10, while REAL RELEVANT websites are nowhere or on page 6.
